Chapter 5

*** To clear up any questions: Sam and the guys are sophmores.***

As Alex and I entered the room I knew I was going to love homeroom. Robert and Austin instantly came up to me asking for my schedule and comparing theirs. I had just met Robert this morning and we were already friends.

"We have two classes together." Robert said pointing to English and Math.

"And we have three, no, yes, no, four." Austin said pointing to English, Math, Study Hall, and Science.

"Yay!" I said smiling. They guys laughed. We all put our stuff on a table in the back of the room and talked about how much trouble we were gonna cause this year.

"So, Sam, what was it like in Maine?" Robert asked and Alex and Austin leaned in to hear my answer.

"It was cool, well literly it was cold. Like all the time. The summers were okay but the fall here is warmer." I replied.

"Sam, I meant like friends and stuff." Robert said hitting me in the arm playfully.

"Ohh, well I wasn't popular like you guys. I had a small group of friends and we were like family. It was like seven girls and like four guys. Most of us dated inside the group. Taylor was the only one who didn't, he kinda went after the popular girls." The guys must have seen a change in my expression because they looked like they wanted to kill Taylor.

"So you and Taylor? You guys had a thing?" Robert asked. He wanted all the details.

"I guess. We only dated for like a week and broke up because I moved. I don't reallt talk to any of them anymore. We kinda just stopped and got on with our lives." I said.

"Well, we're your friends now!" Alex said pulling me into a hug. Oh my gosh did he smell good!

"Group hug!" Robert said jumping into the hug causing us all to fall over on the floor. Mr. Dixon walked into the room to see us all laughing on the ground.

"What is going on?!" he yelled.

"We fell." Alex said.

"Oh. Well, carry on then," he said smiling "Wait, whos the girl?"

"HI, I'm Samantha Smith. I'm new." I said with a wave.

"Well, nice to meet you, Samantha, but I must warn you. You are hanging around with some troublemakers!" He said

"Oh trust me. I know." I replied.

"Hey!' The guys all yelled.

"Hey!" I immitated.

"Oh thats it!" Alex said said picking me up bridal style then setting me back down when some freshman waked in confused.

"That. Was. Not. Cool." I said out of breathe from yelling at him. Robert and Austin just sat in their chairs laughing as hard as humanly possible.

"It's not funny guys!" I yelled fixing my hair with my hands.

"You look fine!" Robert said.

"Mighty fine!" Alex said with a wink. My face was red. I knew it. So I smacked Alex in the arm and sat down.

"Alex sit down it's time to take attendence." Mr. Dixon said.

"Alex got in trouble." Austin said.

"Austin, shut up." he replied

I didn't have any electives so I had to go sign up for some. I chose to be in Choir and to take Cullinary. I had already taken french at my last school so I signed up for French II as my language. I didn't even bother to ask the guys what language they take or any of the electives.
