He starts inching towards me as I duck into cover under the table behind me.

"Come on, don't be like that," he says pulling me out of the table. "You're a monster, you killed my mother," I cry as I try to get myself away from him. He just laughs.

The sirens outside were as loud as ever and I knew he needed to get out of here alive. "If you take me outside like a hostage, they won't do anything to you, they will probably let you go. You need me," I say calmly.

I need to get out of this situation safely. "Hm, smart girl," he says as he grabs my waist and puts a gun to my head as we towards the door. He opens the front door and the first thing the police officers see is me. Then he comes out.

"Wake up," the man with the gun says as he shakes me. I furrow my eyebrows, that never happened. "Wake up," he says again but without shaking me.

I open my eyes and see a concerned Matt standing there. "Are you okay? You sounded like you were having a heart attack," he says in a serious face. "Yeah I'm fine," I say smiling weakly.

"Scoot over," he says as he puts one leg on his bed. I scoot over so he could fit on the bed and he puts the covers on himself. He puts an arm around me and we just lay there. He rubs circles on my hand while I lay there numb.

"Wanna talk about it," he asks me. I open my closed eyes and look at him. He looked completely serious and he didn't look like he was going to freak out over my story and leave me.

I nod my head and I turn around under his arm to face him. "People only know half of the story. People only know that my mother died, but they don't know how," I say looking into his eyes.

"My mother was shot. But it wasn't just a random person that shot my mom because there were no signs of breaking and entering. My biological father shot my mom," I say with a stone cold expression on my face while Matt stares at me in shock.
