"You are hurting me by hurting them. Let them go," I say sternly to my father who was now approaching Alaric who was tied up on the other side of the dark huge room.
"Oh honey, you don't understand. I'm taking you back. Don't you want to live with your real father," He asks me as he finally approaches Alaric. He pulls Alaric up by the hair and Alaric yells in pain.
"Stop, stop. Don't hurt him. You're just the man who knocked my mom up. You are a father to me, the man whose blood runs in my veins, but you're not my dad. A dad is a role mode that takes care of me. Not just by getting me what I want, he will make food for me, ask me how my day was, make sure I'm always safe. Alaric has done that for me since the beginning. Alaric is my dad," I say as the tears flow out of my eyes. I look up at my father and see him hurt. That hurt is nothing compared to what he did to my mother, leaving her to join a gang. She took care of me all on her own, she took the role of a mother and a father. That amazing woman deserved much more than to die from him. She deserved to live a long life and die of old age.
I move my eyes over to Alaric. I see him with tears in his eyes too. He looked at me and smiled.
In the distraction of the emotional mess I made, Matt had the great idea of starting to attack everyone. He starts to punch one of the guard men that came in with my father.
I joined in on him starting to beat up the nearest man to me and Alaric started to fight my father.
I throw a punch at the man and he dodges it grabbing my neck and holding on to it pulling me into a headlock. I jam my elbow into the man's ribs and he doubles down in pain. That's when I grab the gun out of his holder and shoot him straight in the heart. I have to protect my family.
I turn around and see Matt struggling with three men. I take the gun out and go a little closer to them and shoot all three of them. Matt looks at me shocked but nods and we both look at Alaric.
Alaric was beating my father up. I guess he doesn't know how to fight. I start to walk towards Alaric to help him get done faster but Matt stops me. "Alaric needs to do this on his own," he says to me. I nod and stand back. Matt puts a hand on my shoulder and I put one on his side snuggling my head.
Matt lets out a breath and starts heading towards the two fighting men. "Alright thats enough. Mr. Rose, you are under arrest. You know your rights. Lead us out of here," Matt says grabbing my father from the collar of his shirt and pulling him up. My father looks at me but I look at Alaric and run over to him.
"Are you alright," I ask him examining the injuries on his face. He smiles, "I'm fine, don't you worry about me," He says as he puts a hand on my shoulder and start walking behind Matt and my father.
