Chapter 51: Wait What?!

I and Kerri carried on walking back to the college and that's when I heard the sound again so this time I decided to stop and look behind me. "Ally seriously what is the-" I placed my hand on her mouth and put a finger to my lips signalling her to be silent. She nodded and I listened hard for anything else, I couldn't hear anything but instead I noticed two slow walking shadows behind us and when we stopped so did they. We began walking cautiously, I whispered to Kerri "Get out your phone and call James and pretend he's your dad, I'm gonna ring Hayden," she nodded.

"Oh wait hold on I've got a call coming through," she said it loud enough so whoever I believe was following us could hear. "Hey dad, what's up?" I quickly got my phone out and dialled Hayden's number. It took a few rings before he answered "What's wrong?!" he immediately said obviously knowing James already told Hayden from Kerri's reaction. "I think people are following us and I don't know who they are?" I was panicking over the line.

"Okay hold on calm down, what do you mean people are following you?!" he too sounded worried. "We left the cinema and I heard people following us and I saw their shadows and they stopped walking when we were walking and then started again as we did..Hayden I'm scared." I was panicking even more now. "Ally where are you? Me and James are coming to get you!"

Before I could answer him we heard a shout from behind "GET THEM!!" I and Kerri automatically ran for our lives. "ALLY WHAT'S GOING ON?" that was the last I heard of his voice before I dropped my phone with it too late to go back to go and get it back. The people stood on it, breaking connection, breaking the whole thing to pieces. "Ally come one!!" I and Kerri strut into a run again.

"Kerri we need to split up," she shook her head. "Kerri go NOW!!" I ran in the opposite direction to her. I heard the people now recognising that the voices were men but at the same time they sounded like my age. One came running after me while the other after Kerri. I ran down a dark alleyway and stopped to catch my breath. I walked behind into the shadows as they ran past the alley and carried on.

I fell down against the wall and hugged my knees tight trying to figure out what was going on. What was going on? Why were these two men/boys coming after us? What did we ever do? All I could think about was Kerri and if she was alright? Wondering whether or not Hayden and James were coming to get us? I shook my head and said to myself "Gotta keep going, need to find help."

I slowly made my way out of the dark alley and look side to side to see if anyone was there. There wasn't so I quickly took my chance to run again. I ran as fast as I could and kept checking behind me to see if anyone was there. Every time I did, I saw no one, so I decided to slow down my pace to a gentle jog. My heart was pumping out of my chest and my breath was fast.

I moved my hair out of my face and decided to carry on running. I was almost out of the dark place, almost to the beaches edge, they couldn't get me there, because there would be people as witnesses. I almost made it, just a few more steps, almost...just a bit more...almost. I was going to make it. "Ahhhhh!" I got pulled back by this rough texture of hands.

They were wrapped around my waist tightly making no means of escape. I kicked and screamed within their grasp. It was too dark to recognise who they were. I struggled as best as I could against them try to get free. "I've got her!" the voice was recognisable but I couldn't put my finger in who it was? "Did you get the other one?" they asked the person who we just met, I could see who they were either.

"Yes I did, what do we do now?" the other one asked. "We take them to where we are meant to," I watched as I got a glimpse of the other one nod slowly. The other guy looked at me and he whispered "Sorry sis..." that's when all I could see was black.
