It's now the winter season and Christmas is on its way. The frost crisp morning seeps through the closed window shining the bright sun creating little heat. I wrap myself up in the covers of my bed to keep warm I didn't wanna leave and I didn't wanna see Hayden especially Elsa and Jay for the matter. So for the whole weekend I've decided to stay put where I am. I hear the opening of a door so I raise my head to see who it. It's just Kerri.
"Hey sleepy head," she said I moaned at her and went back under the covers. "Still grumpy from what happened," I didn't answer because she knew the answer. It may have been at least a month ago now but it was still eating at me and I couldn't do anything about it. Which sucks! She came over and sat next to me and pulled the covers off "HEY!" I yelled at her, "You need to stop hiding and get out of bed you big baby," then she started tickling me which she knows I hate.
"Okay okay stop it would ya!" I screamed at her. She stopped and looked serious at me "I mean it Ally you need to get out there and face them stop hiding from them in the hallways and stop hiding in that bed of yours," she ripped the covers off me once again since I chucked them back on when she wasn't paying attention. "I will but it's Saturday and for me that's a day of rest and besides I have catering homework so I would like to be getting on with that thanks."
She sighed dramatically then replied "Okay at least you're doing something I guess," she got up and walked to the door "Well I'm going out with Kacey and Raven if you'd like to join we will be at the mall I'd really like it if you would come," and with that she was out the door. I just lay wondering. I knew I had to do catering homework and that wasn't a lie but what I couldn't get off my mind was Hayden. Why, why out of all the people I know was he on my mind? So I jumped out of bed and got my laptop and started my homework to get him off my mind.
<hours later>
It didn't work; instead I just stared at my laptop screen doing nothing so I just left the thing on my bed. I slumped myself over by the window and placed my headphones on my ears and stared into space out into the open clear air. The first song that came on was 'Angel with a Shotgun' by the cab. One of my favourites. I was just fading into the song once a heard a knock on my door. I sauntered over to it and opened it to see the boy who shared a dorm with Hayden.
"If Hayden sent you here with a message for me I don't wanna hear it," I moaned at him, he raised his eyebrow and answered "Um no he didn't I'm looking for Kerri," great now I felt stupid, "Oh right....she's not here sorry James," I turned around and sat back by the window. "You remembered my name?" she asked shocked while walking into the room, "Well it's a name not hard to forget," I laughed. He shook his head while laughing along with me. "Hey I heard what happened and I never got the chance to say I'm sorry for what Jay did, I mean I know I don't know you and it was ages away now but I just wanted to tell you that."
I smiled at him "Thanks I appreciate that," he smiled back "Kerri's right you know," this time I raised my eyebrow at him, "You need to stop hiding, stand up and be the better person, the world don't stop because of one idiot in this situation and believe me when I say most people don't believe in what he said so there on your side," I gave a small chuckle and replied "Yeah well I'll think about, did you want me to pass on a message to Kerri for you."
He shook is head "No, I was gonna ask her to the Masquerade Ball for Christmas," I joked "Ooh get you," he laughed and I smiled "Are you going?" he asked me. I lowered my head and headed towards my bed and said "No," he came over and sat next to me while our legs dangled off the bed. "How come?" I shook my head. "Just not me I guess, but mostly because I don't feel up to it," he wrapped his arm around me shoulder and cradled me in close and whispered to me "Well maybe it will boost your confidence back up."
I gazed up at him and smiled again. "Thanks James, but my answer is still no," I sighed in defeat stood up and walked to the door but turned back to face me "Hey Ally, maybe we could hang out some time as just friends," I nodded and replied "Yeah I'd like that," and looked down at the floor then back at me "You don't blame Hayden for this and I know because it's written deep beneath your eyes, you feel something much more." With that he left the room.
I was left there sitting speechless, what did he mean? 'You feel something much more.'
