I see him falling. The love of my life, falling an uncountable number of feet. His bright green eyes look at me desperately, asking for me to help. To help him.
He's falling. My brain states the obvious. It hasn't sunk in yet.
He is falling so fast.
I just... stared. Frozen in time for a few seconds. But those few seconds could change everything.
I only have a few seconds to react.
I'm not phased by the city which is below.
I just jump.
I hear Cat Noir yell, "Ladybug, no!"
I ignore him and try to reach Adrien.
It's the only thing I can do.
I don't even know if I can save him.
His eyes close, bracing himself for the hard impact of the cement floor.
This can't be happening.I thought.
Marinette awoke from her dream with a start.
It felt so real.

Hey guys! I hope you like the start of this book. I'll admit, the first few chapters are really... slow going. They're more of what the characters think and what they feel. But it gets more fast paced as the book progresses and more action is included. Thanks for reading and enjoy!
