In Custody

I woke up. I was in a cell protected by an energy field. I was wearing Blue jail clothes meant to differentiate me from the Human Inmates and that I was an Android inmate. The clothes were generally uncomfortable and they were hard to move in.

My legs had supports in them as my legs are disjointed and I'm still healing them. I had plenty of scratches and bruises on my body. There was a large bruise in my arm, It was where I hit the ground first from the fall yesterday.

I tried to walk. I got to stand for a few seconds but I fell down. I tried again, I walk able to walk this time but I was very slow. I got to look through the transparent energy field. It was very chaotic and uncivilized outside.

the Inmates are outside, If I am correct, It's about lunch time right now, so that may be the reason why they're out. I see some of them a beating up Android Inmates and the guards are doing nothing, they are simply watching things as they happen

I walked back to my cell bed. I sit down, contemplating my future, if I still have a future. I think of what they could possibly do to me. The thought of those things made my heart beat faster and it made me sweaty. I was just there, I didn't notice that time passed. Suddenly, the energy field deactivated and then an android came inside my cell

He had a light skin almost similar to mine but mine is a little bit tanned. He was taller than me. He had simple brown eyes, nothing special. He had dark black hair that was brushed up. I couldn't describe his body build though because he wore a whole navy blue suit

"Hello Shawn, My name is Clark Wilson. I am an Android that specializes on cases like yours which is homicide and I will be helping you get through your case, whether you will be rehabilitated to be sold again or whether you are going to be put out" the visitor said

"Okay? Well, Nice to meet you" I said

"Alright, Follow me and we will talk about your case" He said

When I got out of the cell, the first thing I noticed was the smell. The smell was so foul, that It made me think if the whole Facility was a dumpster. The smell was a mixture of the other Inmates' body odor and generally, the trash that is everywhere.

I tried my best and followed him out of the cell. Although I was slow I didn't ask for assistance. the Guards stopped us for a moment then took my hands and handcuffed me. I continue following Clark. I went past the cafeteria. I saw an unconscious android was being brought by a nurse to the clinic, probably because of the fights earlier

We continued walking. We stopped at the "personal" rooms. We entered the room and the first thing I noticed was how cold the room was, It was colder than the normal rooms and that definitely would add up the tense factor. Clark removed my handcuffs and he offered me to sit

"Before we start, I just wanted to point out that you are different, Most of the time, Androids that are accused of Murder are usually aggressive, but you aren't, which is a surprise. That's all" He said

"Okay. So anyways, How will this work and what will happen to me?" I asked

"Well, first of all. You are under the Androids' Eyewitness Act, So instead of being killed right away, you have the chance to speak for yourself. Before I could answer your second question, I'll ask you a question first and you'll have to be honest, Did you kill Anna Long?" He asked

"No, It was her husband who killed her" I said

"Well, you'll have to justify that" He said

"What will happen to me if I can't?" I asked

"Well, since you're the very first malfunctioning seventh generation Android, our makers haven't created a way to destroy you yet, especially with that Graphene body. I presume you're going to be detained or put to sleep until they find a solution." He said
