"i love myself." that's a lie if ever i saw one.
truth is it's nearly impossible for most of us to love ourselves for everything we are. self-acceptance is a lot more attainable, but even so, a lot of us struggle with it.
so what do we do?
we ask other people to love us, because we think that if someone else loves us, we are worth something.
also, a lot of people find it easier to love other people than to love themselves, because they can only see the other person's facade, whereas they can see their own innermost thoughts.
a lot of people will say this way of life is not ideal, that you should not rely on others for validation. i disagree. humans are social animals, and for the most part, we crave the company of others and need it to feel happy.
so, who wants to love me?
