Out of Control

I wake up exhausted
I don't want to get up
It's dark and cold
I want to stay where it's warm
But I remember
Everything I have to do today

I'm really not hungry
But I'm weakening fast
So in every spare minute
I'm lying down for a rest
Just a small one
Promise I'll be up again soon

There's so much to do
Never enough time
My life's out of control
I say that I'm fine
But I'm not
Too much to think about
I forgot
Because I'm only human

Everyone's stressed
Got lots on their plates
No time left for fun
Want me to cheer them up
So I try to smile
Be cheery, sunny, happy, gay

But what they don't see
Is there's no one for me
I'm showing I love them
And they don't show it back
And with every smile
Part of me dies over again

There's so much to do
Never enough time
My life's out of control
I say that I'm fine
But I'm not
Too much to think about
I forgot
Because I'm only human

Caught in the whirlwind
Only thing to do is go forward
The stress never ends
Don't let it completely take over

Then I meet you
Suddenly I'm not alone
Because you're the same
And we're there for each other
Now I smile for you
And I hope you smile for me

There's so much to do
Never enough time
My life's out of control
I say that I'm fine
But I'm not
Too much to think about
I forgot
Because I'm only human
