~~Barry's POV~~

How often do you think about why your friends came into your life? Was it random, by design, or maybe a little of both? Regardless of the reason, some friends you just know are gonna be by your side for a while. Others, you're not so sure. And then there's that one friend who, well, you hope, someday becomes something more. But friend will have to do for now. And that's okay. I guess.

These thoughts were in my mind when Iris came up to me. Me, Holly, Iris, Eddie, Caitlin and Cisco had all decided to get a night out and head to the bar.

"I'm glad you invited Caitlin and Cisco," Iris says with a smile.

"They're cool, right?" I say smiling.

"They saved your life, Barry. That makes them the coolest people I've ever met. It's nice that you guys became friends. To friends, old and new," she says holding up her shot glass and I hold up mine and we cheer and we drink.

"I'm up. Wish me luck," Iris says heading to Eddie who were playing darts. I then grab about six shot glasses and go up to Caitlin and Cisco who were sitting together watching Eddie, Iris, and Holly playing darts.

"Guys, I have a problem," I say.

"We all do when guys like him exist," Cisco says taking a sip of his beer.

"Yeah, he's so hot. Uh, I mean, genetically speaking. Because I'm a geneticist, of course. Oh, my gosh, do I sound like Felicity?" Caitlin says.

"I'm not talking about Eddie. I'm talking about this," I say using my speed to quickly down all the shot glasses, "I can't feel anything," I say.

"Yeah, that's usually what happens when you drink too much," Cisco says with a small laugh.

"No, the alcohol is not affecting me. I mean I literally feel nothing," I say trying to get it through.

"It's your hyper-metabolism. I need a sample," Caitlin says grabbing her purse.

"I'll get more shots," Cisco says leaving.

"I swear, I had a Vacutainer here," Caitlin says searching her purse.

"Wait, you carry a blood collection kit in your purse?" I say raising my eyebrows.

"You have your hobbies," she says smirking. Cisco soon comes back and I start drinking.

"Still nothing?" Cisco asks when I finish.

" I can't get drunk. I mean, I'm only 25, and my drinking days are already over," I say a little disappointed.

"Come on, Allen. You're up," Eddie says and Holly is smiling as she hands me some darts. Eddies phone beeps and he looks at it.

" There was a bombing on 8th and pass. I got to go," Eddie says kissing Iris' cheek and grabbing his coat.

"Okay. Sorry, guys. I've got an early shift at jitters. Barry, we'll catch up tomorrow," Iris says grabbing her coat and leaving.

"It's getting late, anyway, so I'm just gonna..." Caitlin says faking a yawn and pretending to grab her coat till Iris and Eddie are gone and then I zoom out. I stop in front of a building seeing a window washer hanging there.

"Help! Help! Somebody!" The guy yelled.

" Guys, there's a window washer, and he's gonna fall," I say.

"Don't try and catch him. You don't have super strength," Cisco says.

"Well, is there, like, a bed store near here? What if I get a bunch of mattresses and stack them?" I ask.
