~~~~Barry's POV~~~~
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I groggily look at the time 9:20, I quickly jump up.
"I'm late!" I quickly say rushing through brushing my teeth, hair, and dressing and then quickly to Jitters. I arrive and there's a huge line. Great the morning rush.
"I hate it when they let the new guy train during the morning rush," a regular woman in the morning said turning to me. I quickly use my powers to get everyone, including myself, coffee and paying everyone's tip. I walked out with a satisfied smile.
As I was walking out a man stepped out of the alley way and pointed a gun at me.
"Don't try nothing," he said pulling me into the alleyway, "Wallet. Now."
"Oh, this is awesome!" I say excitedly, "You've got to be kidding me. Hold on, okay? I'm just gonna I'm gonna set this down," I say setting down my coffee and standing back up straight with a laugh, "I mean, this is crazy! There are literally hundreds of thousands of people in Central City, and out of everyone you could have picked to rob, you pick me."
"What, are you sick? Money, now."
"I just You're really gonna be kicking yourself, man. I mean, if there was an Olympics for bad luck, you didn't just medal, pal. You Michael Phelps-ed."
"I'll count to three. Then I'm gonna shoot you. One..."
"Yeah."
"Two," he said cocking his gun and I grinned as a rushed off taking everything and his clothes besides his whitey tighties, along by placing a police right next to him.
I then rushed into S.T.A.R. Labs and saw Wells, Caitlin, and Cisco, who was chewing on a pen, waiting.
"Sorry, guys, I got a little held up," I said making a joke but they all just looked at me, "You had to be there."
"I'm gonna need a moment or two alone with Barry," Wells said.
"Ooh, you're in trouble!" Cisco said as he walked away with Caitlin.
"Now, may I remind you, Mr. Allen, we had an agreement. We would help with your heroics out there while you would help us research and develop your abilities in here, right?" Wells asked. "Yeah. No, I know. I-I guess I've just gotten a little caught up with being able to help people, you know, put bad guys away. It feels good," I answered.
"Imagine how good it will feel to cure diseases, stop aging, reverse paralysis."
"All good causes. So how can I help you do that? You need more MRIs, more blood, or-"
"I need more speed."
"Okay."
"Speed is the key to progress. You need to kick it up a notch," Wells said as my phone vibrated. I quickly checked it and it was Joe texting me about a case.
"There was a homicide. I'm sorry. I've got to go," I said.
"This is not just about you. Remember that, Barry."
"Yeah," I answered zooming off.
~~~~Holly's POV~~~~

I arrived at the scene the same time as Barry. I smiled and walked over to him.

"Hey!" I said standing on my tippy-toes to attempt to place my arm on his shoulder.

"Hey, where were you this morning?" Barry asked me and I sighed.

"Well... Doing all the helping you with fighting all the metahumans and saving the world I got behind on some of my own work. I'm terrible, I know, perhaps you are rubbing off on me, but I've been catching up," I say scrunching my nose as Barry chuckled.
