Amelia's POV
I wake up to someone gently shaking me. I open my eyes to see Carter.
"Carter, what are you doing here?" I ask.
"I don't have much time. Here's a message from Michael," he tells me shoving a piece of paper into my hands. The power is down for a bit, but it'll be back up in two minutes. Don't read it now, or at least turn away from the camera and make it look like you're sleeping while you read it." I nod. He places a kiss on my forehead before leaving. I turn away from the camera before unfolding the note.
Millie,
I promise you that we will get you out of there. Carter told us not to go to the police yet, so I'm assuming he has a plan. I'm just glad to know that you're safe. Everyone misses you. Please get out of there soon. Peyton's worried about you, and he's a mess without you. I can't say too much about that, but he loves you. Just remember that.
~Mikey
I smile as I read the note. I stuff it into my pillow before closing my eyes. I let the darkness consume me as I wait for the next day.

"Wake up," someone says slapping me. I open my eyes to see Vanessa. "We have work to do."
"What do you mean?" I question.
"You have to get fitted for your wedding dress," she tells me. I let out a groan and get up. I follow her into another room.
"Hi sweetie," Ophelia says. "Ready for your fitting?" I nod since I didn't want to cause any trouble. She leads me into a dressing room. I close the door and look at the dress.
This is way over the top. There are jewels everywhere. The skirt is ruffled. There are flowers all over the skirt. Is this really what she expects me to wear? I sigh and put the dress on. To my surprise, it fit perfectly.
"Hi Mother," I hear Carter say.
"Carter, you're not supposed to be here," she says trying to push him out.
"Why not?" he questions.
"It's bad luck to see your bride in her dress before the ceremony," she tells him. I smirk and walk out, going directly to Carter.
"Hi Carter," I say in her mocking sweet tone. "How do you like the dress?"
Before he could answer, Ophelia interrupts, "You need to get out of that now!" She turns me around and tears the dress off of me. I'm now left in my panties and bra. "Carter, take her to her room."
"What about my clothes?" This question earns me a slap. Carter just carries me back to my room.
"Are you okay?" he asks as he goes into the closet, grabbing me a shirt and a pair of shorts.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I tell him. "How much longer do I have to pretend I like it here? It's almost been two weeks."
"Just a few more days," he tells me. "I left more paper in the drawer. I told my mother that it was to get you books so you didn't feel disconnected. I'll be back in a few minutes. Make sure you tell Michael that I have a plan." I nod as he leaves the room.
I change into the clothes he picked out for me before heading to the desk. I grab the paper and pen before writing down the list of books and the note for Michael as well as Peyton. I put them back into the drawer and wait for Carter's return.
Within ten minutes, Carter comes back in with food. "You're going to need your energy," he tells me as he hands me the food tray. I nod as I start eating. He grabs the paper before leaving the room.
