Chapter 17

Amelia's POV

"Amy," I hear someone whisper. "AJ, it's time to wake up." I wake up to see that we're at Burnie's house. I blink a few times and look to see that it's Peyton.

"Hey," I say sitting up. "What time is it?"

"Around 5 in the evening," Peyton tells me. "Michael brought you teriyaki chicken and potstickers." I nod and get up. I walk into the kitchen to see Michael, Lindsay, Burnie, and Ashley talking.

"Hey Millie," Mikey says as I walk over. "You're food's on the counter." I nod.

"The boys are eating in the lounge if you want to play video games with them," Burnie adds on. I grab my food and head over to the lounge to see them playing Cloudberry Kingdom.

"How far did you guys get?" I ask as I take a seat.

"We're about 100 levels in," Teddy replies. I watch them play as I eat my food. After a few minutes, Peyton walks in and takes a seat next to me.

"Don't you have to go back home to your brother soon?" I question as I lean my head on his shoulder.

"Well, my brother is on a business trip right now," he tells me. "I mean I do have a key for the place, but Michael told me he'd feel comfortable if I stay with you guys so I'm not by myself." I nod. "I'm also going back to LA for about a week or so soon."

"How come?" I inquire.

"Well for one thing we're getting a break, and the writers are still in LA," he explains. "Also, we have a thing at Disneyland that weekend, and just a bunch of promotional interviews." I nod. "You know, you're probably going to be asked to go too since you're a part of the cast now."

"I don't think I'll be in the interview, but who knows. There's a meeting tomorrow at 9," I mention. We continue to watch the two boys play their video game as they eat.

"Amy, wake up." I let out a groan and turn around.

"Five more minutes," I mumble.

"Amy, you have work in an hour. You need to get ready." I let out a sigh and sit up. I open my eyes and blink a few times. I look over to see Burnie. "Michael and Lindsay are going into work 9 or so. They left to go to the police station to talk about the investigation going on," he explains. I nod. "Can you wake Peyton up too?"

"Yeah," I say. He nods and walks out of the room. I turn to look at the boy sleeping next to me. He looks adorable when he's asleep. I smile and blush at the thought of calling him adorable. I lean up to his ear and whisper, "Peyton, it's time to wake up." He groans and turns to bury his face into his pillow.

"Give me five more minutes," he murmurs.

"If I don't get five more minutes, then you don't get five more minutes," I retort as I take shake him gently. "Now get up." He lets out another groan but sits up. He rubs his eyes and blinks a bit before turning towards me. "Morning."

"Morning," he smiles. "How'd you sleep?"

"Probably the best sleep I've gotten in a week," I tell him. We both get up and stretch. "So are you coming with me to the office or are you going to the studio?"

"Most likely the studio," he replies. "I'm going to be at the meeting though since Rider has no clue where to go."

"Do you know who else is going to be there?" I ask him.

"Umm well Uriah's probably going, but it's more so he can talk to Janyce," he answers. "Also there's Ben aka Cory and April who is one of the creators." I nod. "If I find out who else is going, I'll text you."
