James' P.O.V

It wasn't that hard last night. I had a meeting with Malik Ltd about a potential deal, my competitor too is on it and I swear to do everything to get that deal. I was walking into office and my bodyguards were following behind. As I was raised my eyes from my iPhone, it landed on Anaya and Nick who were chatting in front of the elevator. I couldn't help the hatred I have for her to come up. Still, I don't know why but I felt annoyed when I saw both talking.

"Sawyer, ask them to get the lifts checked. I think it is, for employees to chat in front of it." I said interrupting their conversation. They both didn't dare to utter a word.

The elevator came and we all walked in. I felt my iPhone vibrate. I took it out of my pocket and it was a message of Malik Ltd. I heard a sneeze and lifted my gaze, I realized that it was Anaya. She punched that Nick guy arm playfully and both chuckled. I cleared my throat which made them stop. The elevator now reached the top floor where my office was found.

I walked in it and thought of what I could to make Anaya pay for what she did to Summaiyah.
"Maria. Call Anaya Khan to my office." I said as I lifted the phone.

A few minutes later, I heard someone knocking. The so awaited person was finally here.
"Come in." I said.
She walked in the office, I must say that she looked beautiful, but something changed. Her face looked pale and her eyes were red.
"Miss Khan, good morning." I greeted her.
"Good morning, sir." She greeted back.
"Well, I will be giving you a test today." I said as I stood from my chair, walking in her direction.
"What is it?" She said remaining neutral.
"Complete this for me. You have till this evening to submit the work to me." I said gesturing the workload behind me.
She looked like to be thinking for a moment. I'm sure she won't be able to do it. It's enormous for an inexperienced person, specially a student.
"Of course sir. I'll return you this by this evening." She said with a smile. She's so daring, despite her determination, I'm sure she'll be unable to do it. I must say that I'm shocked by her attitude.
"You may take the files." I said. She didn't reply and walked pass me taking the files. I was a little worried about how she would manage to carry those files to her desk and I really wanted to help her but I don't know why, I felt like she didn't deserve my help. I was brought out of my thought as I heard Anaya sneeze. She only left after that.

The shipment which from Egypt was delayed, a few investors were worried about it. Once everything was settled I started checking the contracts of the IT firm. Thinking about IT, it reminded me how Anaya solved that problem last time. It was really impressive. I can't believe she has got so much of talents, it's a pity to know that such a talented person could hurt Summaiyah. I don't know why, but I still believe Anaya is innocent. I just can't clear that doubt. Anaya can't do such a thing! She looks so innocent but still, I can't judge someone by her appearance only. I was brought out of my thoughts as I heard the door open, my dear brother walked in.

"Knocking doesn't exist in your dictionary?" I said.
"And good morning doesn't exist in yours?" He replied back.
"Good morning." I said as he sat in front of me.
"I hope you don't expect me to go out knock and then walk in again." Andrew said. Age didn't have any impact on his humor.
"I don't. What brings you here? And what's this?" I asked looking at the DVD which was in his hand.
"Something which will clear all your doubt." He said grinning.
"What?" I asked. Wondering which doubt he's talking about.
"Just have an eye on it. Your busy schedule could spare five minutes, right?" He said.
"Yeah. Leave it here." I said.
"Okay. I'm leaving for lunch, wanna come?" Andrew asked as he stood.
"No. You go ahead." I said before looking back to my laptop.
"Okay. See you later." He said with a smile before leaving.

Just as he left, I got a call from Rajiv Malik, the CEO of Malik Ltd. He wanted all the details to be emailed to him. I then had some other work to do.

By the time I ended, it was around 18:30 or more. I sighed as I realized what time it was. Anaya Khan has not yet submitted the workload, I have predicted so. I signed a few documents which was on my desk. The door opened and Andrew walked in.
"Yes." I said my eyes still on the document.
"You haven't watched it yet?" He said.
"Watch what?" I asked looking at him.
"This!" He exclaimed pointing his finger to the DVD on my desk.
"Oh. I forgot."
"Then do it now!" Andrew said as he took my laptop and he placed the DVD inside. He turned it round for me to see.
"What the.."
My words stopped as I saw what was on the screen. Summaiyah was in the mess room shouting. I could also hear their voices.
"What happened?"
"STAY BACK BITCH!"
"Summaiyah, listen, let's get out of here. We will talk and find a solution but please, stop it."
"No! No chance! You know how much I wanted to be the most beautiful of the night? And you only had to come here with this saree and perfect timing!"
"Summaiyah, it's not safe smoking here. Let's go out."
"Oh really!? Why, huh? See nothing is happening."
And that's how the fire started. I stared at the screen in disbelief. I was wrong about Anaya. It was all Summaiyah's doing and me like a fool believed it. God! I'm such a jerk! I gave Anaya this workload as a punishment for doing something she hasn't done. I will have to apologize to her. I should.
"Andrew, where's Anaya?" I asked thinking she would still be here as her workload wasn't given yet.
"I don't know. Nick told me that she wasn't well, maybe she went home." Andrew said. I can't believe I was so harsh towards her. Despite seeing her face and hearing her sneeze, I didn't realize that she was sick. God damnit! Even an oaf would have realized it! I'm feeling really guilty right now.
I only nob then. I was still thinking of how to say sorry to her.
"Don't worry bro. She's fine. Anyway, I need a ride back home." Andrew said.
"Sure, I'll drive you back. Call Anaya and ask her if she's fine." I told him as he took his phone out of his pocket and dialed her number. After a few seconds, Andrew removed his phone from his ear.
"It's ringing but she isn't picking up." He said, putting back his phone in his pocket. "Relax, she's fine." His words were in vain. I still felt a strange feeling, like something happened. I was worried about Anaya too, whether she's fine or not.
"I'm done. Come I'll drop you home." I said as I switched off my laptop and grabbed my suit jacket.
"Yeah." Andrew said as he took his stuffs too.

Andrew and I walked out of my office and walked to the stairs. We were descending the stairs and saw what could have been the reason for my guilt to increase. My heart started beating so fast that my rib cage seemed to explode, that scene was scary and awful. Papers scattered everywhere and Anaya was laying unconscious.
"ANAYA!" Andrew shouted as he ran downstairs. I did too and rushed to her.
I sat on the floor and got hold of her, my hand literally burned as I touched her forehead. I placed her on my laps so as for her head to rest on my chest. What killed me even more was her nose. It was bleeding.
"Anaya? Anaya?" I slightly shook her but in vain. I was panicked stricken to her state.
"Bro, we should take her to the hospital. See her arm!" Andrew said and as I did so, I noticed that it was a little purple and red. I'm such an arse. If I hadn't made up my mind on my first impression, all this would never happened.
I nod as I lifted Anaya in bridal style and took her to my car.
"North Hearth Clinic. Quick!" I barked to Taylor. He opened the backseat door for me and Andrew sat I the front passenger seat next to Taylor. I kept checking Anaya's temperature. It didn't decrease, it was still that high. Fortunately, her nasal bleeding stopped. I silently prayed for everything to be okay.

In less than fifteen minutes, we were at the North Hearth Clinic. As I entered it, a nurse immediately brought a stretcher and a familiar face walked towards us.
"What happened to her?" He asked, shocked by her state and examined her with his stethoscope.
"She fainted." Andrew said.
The doctor's eyes widen as he saw the blood from Anaya's nose. "Panic attack." He said as he instructed the nurses to bring her to a room. Andrew and I both followed behind.

She was in the room B15. 15 is the number I hate the most. It is the date where my parents died. She was inside the room where I guess the doctor carried out a few tests. I was sitting on a chair outside, thinking about the past events. Maybe, I'm just unable to keep those who I love happy. I always feared loosing my loved ones and ended up loosing my parents. I know that Anaya is gonna be alright. But part of me still fears the worst.

'God, please. Don't let anything happen to her. Please.' I silently prayed for. It's the first time in years that I'm asking God to help me out. I just hope He won't let me down.
