I had to leave the next morning because I had to work. Sans knew that so me being gone wouldn't be a surprise to him.
I walked in to see Grillby, standing there waiting for me, "Ready to work? It's pay day."
"Hell yeah. I'll work so hard that you'll want to double my paycheck," I smiled, elbowing him as I chuckled. He fixed his glasses and chuckled very softly, "Don't get cocky, Y/n. You may be my daughter, but you're also a worker. I'm not gonna spoil you at work. What will that teach you?"
"That you're the best dad slash boss ever!" I cheered as I grabbed my apron and threw it on. Grillby just sighed and gave me my pen and notepad, "I have a friend who's coming. He's a lot like me.. except of course.. he has a more visible mouth. His name is Rodd."
I groaned, "Is he like all your other friends that I've seen? They're... flirtatious."
"Y/n.. they're not that flirtatious."
I crossed my arms and then dropped my voice down to mimick a male, "Look at you, hot shot. You work here often? Maybe we could work something out." I looked at him, raising an eye brow. I was exaggerating a little when I say they were all flirtatious. Sometimes they just ordered and then talked to Grillby.
He sighed, "Alright. Some of them are flirtatious, but Rodd isn't. He's actually not good with flirting. I promise you that he is flirt-free."
I turned away and sighed, "Fine but if he is flirty, I want you to double my paycheck."
He sighed and walked away, telling me that it was a deal. I snorted as I turned and walked behind the counter, noticing people already starting to walk in.

It wasn't until almost closing time, that two familiar faces appeared. One was Sans, who smiled at me when he walked in and sat at one end of the bar. The other must have been Rodd, because he looked almost exactly like Grillby except.. younger and.. different. He sat at the other end of the bar.
I first went to Sans, since he had gotten there first. I smiled at him as I asked, "Hello my name is Y/n and I'll be your server this evening. Can I start you off with something to drink?" I was acting like a petty waitress. That wasn't how I usually waited tables, but I wanted to seem, humorous.
I almost caught a smirk on his face, but before I could see it, he turned his head and said, "My usual bottle of ketchup. Please?"
I nodded as I walked over to where Rodd was. He awkwardly sat there and played with his fork, nervously. I smiled at him, "Hello. I'm Y/n. I'll be your server this evening? Is there anything I could get for you to drink?"
He nervously scratched the back of his neck. It was weird to see a mouth on him. He reminded me of Grillby almost.
"Um... No thanks. I'm just here to see Grillby.." He said, looking away from me. He really wasn't like all the other friends. He was.. slightly awkward, but.. friendly. I nodded as I grabbed a bottle of ketchup from below the counter, "I'll get him for you as soon as I can."
I was about to walk off, but he grabbed my hand. When I stopped, he shot his hand back, "S-Sorry.. Did I burn your hand? I was just-"
"No. I'm immune to heat."
He looked down at the ground and then around the room before saying, "Sorry.. I just um.. Ya know.. You're.. really pretty.. I just thought I should say that.. My brother came here once and told me about a waitress here.. By his description.. I thought that was you.. I'm sorry about him. He's.. a little.. on the pervy side.."
There had been many pervy guys since I worked here, but I appreciated the apology. I smiled and nodded, "Thank you. You're Rodd, right? Grillby told me, you'd be coming."
"Heh.. Rodd is actually my middle name.. but it's also a nickname. My reply name is Andy.. but.. no one likes my real name," He said, looking down, sadly. I felt bad for him. He seemed so self conscious of what other people thought of him.
I set my hand over his, friendly like and smiled a little more sympathetically, "I like your real name. In fact, that's what I'm going to call you. Andy."
I hope this didn't seem like flirting. I wanted to be a friend, not a.. date, or anything. So, I gave him one last smile and then walked back over to Sans with his ketchup. He looked at me with a weird frown, "Who was that?"
"I don't know. One of Grillby's friends. I was just trying to be friendly," I set the bottle in front of him. He looked at it, and then back at me, looking at me with suspense, "Just a friend?"
"Yes, Sans. Just a friend. Don't get so upset. He isn't the type of guy to flirt or put the moves on anyone."
Sans crossed his arms at me, "How would you know that?"
I turned away from him, cleaning a glass out with my towel, "Trust me. He's not."
