His Absence

"Well......" I said with a yawn walking up to Sesshomaru's desk. "Guess I better say good bye now and then go to sleep otherwise I may not get the chance to do so." I said leaning in and placing a kiss on his lips. He wrapped his arms around me and deepened the kiss. "Oh no, I'm distracting you!" I said pulling away.

"Impossible." He huffed.

"Impossible or plausible, that is the question my dear. Either way, I am but human and must do such things as sleep. Tomorrow I  have a long journey ahead of me after all. I'm actually looking forward to the car ride! The naps, the passing sights, the music, and of course the weird conversations with the people in the car." I said dreamily getting up off the chair.

"I shall wake you before I depart." He pormised before I slipped out the study. I sleepily walked to our room and collapsed on the bed. I didn't go to bed instantly, I tossed and turned several times. It was unsettling knowing that I wouldn't be seeing my mate for god knows how long while he's god knows where. I'm going to miss his emotionless face, brushing his hair, bugging him in his study and dagering him to play video games with me. I have yet to succeed but some time in the distant future I will prevail!

I laid down after I was done and played my sleeping playlist hoping that I would be able to go to sleep. An hour and a half passed and still no luck. I was about to just get up and sleep on the couch in his study when he walked in.

"Oh.....I was about to come and sleep in the study." I said watching him come around the bed.

"I know." He said taking off his shirt and crawling into bed with me.

"But....you've got things to handle don't you? I don't want to hinder you already then I already do being human and all." I frowned looking at him. He turned me onto my side and spooned against me

"Stop calling yourself a hindrance just because your human, as if something as small as that would be able to be a problem for one such as me." He said making me blush an smile smally.

"Sorry, but what about the things you need to get done?" I asked.

"It has been seen too." He said. I of course was wondering who was seeing too it but the warmth and comfort of Sesshy made me too drowsy to actually care to vocalize my question. I went to sleep within the next few minutes.

"Wake up you slut." I heard John's voice call out to me. I lifted up my head snapping to full alertness. John smiled at me squealing then ran out the room saying some shit. I slammed my head back into the pillow and groaned.

"I don't approve of him." Sesshomaru growled behind me.

"Yeah...he's one of those friends you hate but love at the same time. I honestly don't understand why I like him but I do." I sighed rolling over towards him. "So.......when do you have to leave?" I asked voice still gravely.

"In thirty minutes." He said getting up. I rolled out of bed and onto the floor before getting up.

"Don't judge me!" I said taking off my clothes and stuffing them in my suitcase. I quickly got dressed and rolled my suitcase outside against the hallway wall. "Soooo....." I begain not really knowing what I wanted to say. He stopped what he was doing and gave me his full attention. I blinked a bit and just walked up to him and hugged him. "I'll miss you." I said muffled by his chest.

He wrapped his arms around my shoulders and played with my hair. I gave him a hard squeeze then broke away from him. I watched as he got dressed and ready to leave not saying a word. Once he was done we both left the room. I grabbed my suitcase and followed him down stairs ignoring the yells from my old room. They of course were goofing off before we had to leave.

"Sir, we're ready whenever you are." Scott said as we got down on the first floor. Sesshomaru nodded then looked down at me on last time before leaving.

"Aren't you going to go with him?" I asked.

"No, we decided that I would take you guys to your new safe house. Just like old times, right?" He smirked elbowing me in the ribs.

"Only this time it's willing, and I'll have a car, I'll be the one watching over other people, and those people so happens to be my friends."

"Well excluding me." Amber said walking downstairs with a suitcase still in her pajamas. "Where'd he go?" She grunted.

"Out to the garage." Scott said throwing her a pair of keys. She caught them and shuffled her way outside.

"You have been replaced Scott!" I said giggling.

"Nah, I've been promoted. You don't trust the opposite sex of your mate to watch over them unless you trust them." He beamed grabbing my suitcase.

"Damn, look at you Mr. To Be Trusted! What does this mean for you pay wise?" I asked.

"Well, I am getting a two dollar raise. That and after he takes over the U.S. I'll be the equivalent of the vice president. I'm sure he's going to have us on opposite coast and switch around every now and then. Most likely your going to be in the middle, the meeting grounds of us. I honestly don't know yet but we'll figure it all out once we get to that point. In the mean time, get in the car and I'll collect the gay trio."

"Haaa! They told you of that?" I laughed opening up the front door. I walked out of the mansion and got into a cherry red Impala. In a matter of fifteen minutes John was bursting out the door screaming shoot gun. Soon the car was packed up with ourselves and our luggage. I grabbed my stolen purse and pulled out my laptop and aux cord hooking it up to the car. Thus, the grand road trip began.
