Reunited, In More Ways Then One

I agreed to go with them. They put me in a limousine, offered me something to dring (I declined) and tries to make small talk with me. The three council members where Slan, a council member I didn't know he name of and one of the twins. The man had introduced himself but I wasn't paying too much attention.

For two hours we drove until we reached this very old looking mansion. It was surrounded by trees and had a rusted iron fense. We drove through and already I could see that the entire council was here.

"Come, the whole council is itching to congratulate you." Slan said with a false smile on her face. It was like it almlst pained her to even pretend to be nice to me. What the fuck crawled up her vagine, well I know what it wasn't. Ha!

"Thank you so much for coming to get me so that my mate didn't have to worry. Poor things been missing me so much. He's constantly worrying over me. It's rather romantic." I said innocently but that statement made her simmer. I got out of the car and immediately the other twin stepped outside. They then possitioned me between themselves protectively. "Good to know I  have someone on my side." I said.

"If tonight plays out like it should then you need be only glad to one person who is quite curious about you. He will be your salvation." Lauren said.

"How?" I questioned.

"Wait and see, just be yourself around him Athena." Lauren said.

"Okay, but I'm telling you. I'm not good with new people." I muttered.

"Don't worry." Laura ordered. I nodded and gulped as we entered the masion. Immediately everyone's eyes where on me. There was a lot more people here then their was last time. I think I'm getting dizzy just looking at them all. The twin expertly weaved me through the crowd until we where in front of an elderly man. He looked gruff and cranky, but he was finely dressed and didn't slouch or anything.

"Good evening ladies, I supose this is the wild fire you've been telling me about eh? Hmmm, see does have a pure aura underneath the demonic ting she got from mating with the young Lord. Tell me lass, what be your name?" The man said peircing me with his intense yellow eyes.

"Athena sir." I said.

"Goddess of wisdom? Do you believe that you life up to your name?" He mused.

"No sir, knowledge is something you could never have enough of. To be called wise you must have vast amount of it. I'm young and I'm relatively inexperienced in the world, especially the demonic one. There's no way I could be considered wise." I said.

"Hmmm, I see. My name is Alabaster M. Cornwall. It is very nice to meet you young Lady." He said smiling and holding out his hand. I smiled and took it, we shook hands but as we did so my body seemed to warm up like the inside of me was on fire, only it didn't hurt. He pulled back still smiling at me.  I looked at the two twins and they too smiled. I guess I made a good impression on the old guy.

"Same to you Alabaster." I beamed.

"Come, let's go and get something to drink. It's hot and stuffy in here, that's coming from a dragon." He joked wrapping an elbow around mine and leading me to one of the tables

"Wow, you're a dragon?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am, and one of the oldest beings on earth who are still active." He said pridefully.

"Um, if you don't mind me asking." I started.

"298 B.C, January 2nd." He cut in already knowing my question.

"Wow, I can't believe it! The things you must have seen! That means you've been around for every world war!" I exclaimed.

"Yes, though can't say it was the high light of my life. I'd say that goes to when they invented the first automobile. They weren't as fancy as the ones today but they where something." He said going on a rant. Soon a woman named Sibil joined our group along with Sharon. These where the council members who actively had my back. After awhile everyone quited down, I looked over to the entrance and realized why. My mate had arrived.

"Oh look, the man of the hour has arrived." Alabaster said stopping me from going over to him. We all cleared the floor and watched Selvester approach Sesshomaru.

"Welcome, Lord Sesshomaru. We would like to congratulate you for your success in taking over America. You have fulfilled you sentencing but.....there is just one more thing. As a Lord, others have the right to challenge you. We took it amoung ourselves to gather all those who wish to challenge you here today." He said.

"Well, that's convenient." I grumbled.

"It's not convenient Athena, it's an attempted death sentence. They can't kill him or get him anymore, not unless they break their own rules in a very big way. So their creating a loop hole. There is nothing illegal about what their doing." Sibil said.

"Their purposely trying to get him killed? Why?" I asked.

"Well he was never supposed to actually succeed. We didn't think he would gain popularity along with his skills. He's a very powerful opponent. One that could over throw the council entirely if he so chose. The battle would take a very long time though, it'd be a blood bath." Alabaster informed.

"So their going to try to kill him but what about the aftermath? Who's going to run everything?" I questioned watching the first challenger step up.

"Every challenger you see is strong enough to rule a good sum of land. They figure whoever dies, dies, but their will most likely be more then on challenger left. They'll just split it up between them." He said.

"That's if Sesshomaru dies." I gulped.

"Don't worry, they'll have another plan of attack should he come out victorious." Lauren said.

"But we'll have a counter strike. It's the ace up our sleeve." Laura winked. I nodded and turned away from the fighting. I didn't want to watch the blood shed. When the first flash of his pain hit me I had to stop myself from crying out. "How careless of us! We've got to do something. She'll surely draw attention to herself." She hisses in realization.

"Pull her up a chair." Alabaster ordered. Immediately a chair was placed behind me. I sat down and held my arm. I looked back and saw that Sesshomaru had a gash right where I was hurting. When I looked back all I saw were Alabaster's eyes. "Listen to my voice Athena." His words echoed in my ear drums and into my thoughts. Everything started to go by in slow motion. "You aren't on this planet anymore, all senses from this body has left you." His words said. Then, it was like I entered a very deep form of day dreaming. It was like spacing out......but on a whole new level.

"You mind fucked her?" Sibil chuckled.

"Someone get a napkin, she's going to start drooling here shortly." Alabaster warned. Their words where like flash of a light. On for one second then gone forever. I don't think I've ever reached this level of serenity before. I didn't even fret over the challengers.
