Chapter 44: Brett

It's been a week since Nicole found out about my birthday and told everyone, now everyone's being very secrative and Nicole is almost always texting or talking to the boys

I'm really excited to find out what they're getting me!!!!

"Guess what?!" Nicole says waltzing into my room like a fairy princess "Yes?" I ask her and she squeals "I have an early birthday present for you!" I jump up "Really?!" I ask and she nods "It'll be here really soon, like 5 minutes!" She says and I jump up and down

I haven't had a proper birthday present in awhile, the most recent was one I got on my senior year by my teacher, it was a necklace that said 2012 it was beautiful with real diamonds, he got it for me cause he said I was such a good student and I told him I wouldn't be able to get a class ring, but my dad ripped it off of me one time and through it down the drain in the sink and I stuck my hand down in it to grab it and he turned the garbage disposal on and I yanked my hand out of their and it was cut up really bad

The sad thing was he actually felt bad and he kept apologizing and he bought me a ton of new clothes

It was very sweet

Even though I hate his guts

"Yo Gracie?! Wanna come back to reality?!" Nicole yells at me "Oh sorry!" I say and we both hear the sound of a car approaching and we both go to look out the window but she literally tackles me to the ground "You can't see it yet!" She says and makes me promise to stay on the ground so I do and she gets up and runs outside

"C'mon!" She says as she runs inside so I jump up and follow her outside but she covers my eyes with her hands as we walk down the front porch stairs

"Ready?!" She says "Yes!" I squeal and she removes her hands from my eyes and I see the most gorgeous thing ever

A teal 1972 Chevrolet!!!!!!!!!! It's so cool!!!!!!

"OH MY GOSH!" I scream and run to the truck "You didn't" I say "Oh...but I did! With some help and money from the boys, so it's actually from all of us!" She says "I love it! I have to facetime the guys and Macie later!" I say "Wanna take it for a spin?!" She asks "Yes!" I squeal and we both hop in and I start the car "Careful though..." Nicole trails off and I fake laugh "It'll be fine" I say and head out and turn on the radio and a song I don't know comes on and I groan "I love this song!" Nicole says as we drive past a restaurant and Nicole screams

"What?!" I ask "Turn around! I saw Marrisas car!" She says so I turn around and pull into the restaurant and as we walk in Nicole grabs the back of my jacket and pulls me down under the window seal "What?" I ask "Shhhh! She's with a guy!" She says and I peak over the window and see her and a guy sitting at a booth laughing "Holy cow!" I say "Should we interrupt her? Or should we see what's going on!" Nicole asks "Heck ya!" I say and we waltz into the restaurant and Marrisa is taking a drink of her soda when she looks over and sees us and literally starts choking on her drink and the guy she's sitting with gets up and starts patting her back and me and Nicole burst out laughing "What *cough cough* are you guys doing here!" She says "Oh you know just...getting...food?" Nicole says and I elbow her side for being so obvious "You know these girls?" The guy asks taking his seat across from Marrisa and she slowly nods "Well we'll just squeeze in here" I say and Nicole gets in by Marrisa and I get in by the mystery man "So Marrisa who's the lucky fella that your cheating on Harry?!" I ask and she kicks me from under the table "Ow!" I cry "And this is Brett my brother ya little nasties! I ain't gonna cheat on Harry!" She says and me and Nicole bust out laughing "Oh...My...gosh!" Nicole says in between laughs "Sorry!" I say not really meaning it "Mhmm sure!" Marrisa says and Nicole extends her arm to Brett "I'm Nicole!"
