Chapter 45: Daddy?

Nicole POV

"Gracie!" I'm barely able to scream cause I'm crying so hard "Gracie!" I scream again shaking her and I check her pulse and it's fine so I call 911

"911 what's your emergency?" The lady asks

"My-my friend she..she had a package and when she opened it she went pale and fell on the ground and she won't wake up! Please send help!" I scream and start crying again "Please ma'am calm down, now what is in the box, this could help" She says and I pick up the box and look inside

It looks like a necklace, but a very messed up necklace, the chains in tons of pieces and it looks like it says 2012 but everything is bent and most of the diamonds have fallen out

It looks like it would've been beautiful

I tell the lady what's in the box "Oooh I see, this might have recalled some memories I see this alot" She says "BUT WHAT DO I DO?!" I scream and burst into tears "Please calm down, I need you to stay calm, now where do you live?" She asks and I tell her "Alright the paramedics are on their way" She says and I sigh and kneel down by Gracie "So...she fainted?" I ask "Most likely it'll be fine the paramedics are on their way they'll be there soon" She says "Thank you" I choke out "Just doin my job kiddo" She says and tells me a few things to help Gracie until the paramedics get there and after a while I see them pull in "They're here!" I say "That's good!" She says and hangs up

I run to the door "UP HERE!" I scream at the paramedics and they run up the two stories and into our apartment "She's there! On the floor!" I yell and they run over to her and kneel down beside her and start taking her blood pressure "Is she okay?" I ask nervously "She'll be fine we just need to-" But he's interrupted by Gracie jumping up and screaming "Calm down ma'am it's ok!" One of the men say and he reaches for her arm but she backs away "Who-Who are you?!" She yells "You fainted, and your friend called us, we're the paramedics" He says and Gracie nods "So do you know why you fainted?" The other man asks and Gracie says "Well ummm...Oh yeah I got a package and oh my gosh" She says and slowly crawls to the package that's laying on the floor and picks it up and looks inside and just stares for awhile until I tap her shoulder and she jumps "Oh sorry...it was this, it brings back some bad memories and I don't know how it got here" She says and I see a note in the box "Gracie read that note!" I say but she shakes her head "I don't want to" She says and I grab the note "Okay fine I'll read it!" She says and takes it from me

"Dear Gracie, this is Drew, your father, I'm sorry if this scared you but I knew since you were dating a celebrity you'd probably be busy the week of your birthday so I thought I'd give you this early, you didn't think I'd forget my own daughters birthday do you? Even in jail I still think about you, I still love you sweetheart..." She pauses and I look at her face and tears are streaming down it, this must be hard on her "It'd be hard to explain how I got this, just know it was hard, I know how much you loved it so...here you go, love you baby, don't forget that honey. I'm so sorry about everything I've ever done to you..." She pauses again and tears are pouring down her face and she hands me the note wanting me to finish it and I nod "I know you probably hate me but if you aren't busy I'd like you to come visit me in the county jail, if you'd like, I miss you so much Grace please come see me, I really am sorry, I hope you have a good birthday, Love daddy" I say and Gracie literally runs into me balling her eyes out and hug her tight "I'm so sorry Gracie!" I say and she continues to cry and the paramedics wave at me and walk out the door "Gracie..sit down" I say and me and her sit down on the couch and Gracie slows her crying "So, what's the necklace mean to you? What happened?" I ask and she starts to talk and I can't understand a word she's saying so I shhh her and give her pen and paper and she writes everything down

I read over it

"He ripped it off you and the it down the drain? And he turned on the garbage disposal!" I yell and she nods
