Chapter Twenty Two

Sehun sighs as he and Luhan enter the Byun residences. "Geez Luhan, stop thinking about it already" he comments as he lay down the sofa. Luhan shakes his head, a frown can be seen on his face. "But I can't. There's really something about that Park Chanyeol and I should know it" Sehun looks at him, "maybe you're starting to like him..."

Luhan turns to Sehun, "maybe you're right..." Making Sehun's eyes widen. "What?? You just met him dude" Luhan laughs, so loud even Baekhyun realizes that they're home. "Just joking babe. I won't ever like that weirdo" Sehun glares at Luhan before getting his phone to start playing. "I just feel that he's up to something..." Luhan adds.

"what is he up to?"

The couple turn and sees Baekhyun, his face full of confusion, lost and desperate. "what happened to you?" Luhan asks in worry, somehow Sehun is worried too. Baekhyun holds his head and sits beside his bestfriend. He doesn't know how to say it, he isn't that entirely sure that he likes Chanyeol and obviously Luhan won't like that idea.

Luhan holds Baekhyun's forehead to check if he's sick but he isn't. Luhan knows that something is happening between Chanyeol and Baekhyun, he is just not sure what it is. "Tell me Baek, why is Chanyeol waiting for you?"

Baekhyun's eyes widen. "Huh? He's waiting for me? I mean he's really there?" Luhan nods while Sehun made a tsk sound. "What happened in the beach? And what's happening now? Why are you running away from him?" Luhan is definitely not stopping, he is so tempted to know the truth.

Chanyeol watch as Kyungsoo prepare food for him. Eventually Chanyeol decides to meet up with Kyungsoo so the latter invited him at his house and cooked for him. Chanyeol loves Kyungsoo's cooking and the way Kyungsoo takes care of him. "I cooked your favorite" Kyungsoo adds as he sits infront of Chanyeol who smiles and starts to eat.

Kyungsoo smiles, he know something is up, he knows that Chanyeol is pushing him away but now that Chanyeol is here, he wants to know why. "Chanyeol" he says, Chanyeol stops eating and turns to him.

Chanyeol loves it whenever Kyungsoo calls his name. It has this weird happy feeling. Kyungsoo's voice is so soft and full of love. It's just one of his favorite things about Kyungsoo, something that makes him fall for the latter. "Yeah?" He asks. Kyungsoo smiles, a geniune one. "Is something bothering you?"

Chanyeol raises an eyebrow, "no. What makes you say that?" Kyungsoo shakes his head. "I just find it weird to see you here" Chanyeol takes a deep breath, "you invited me" Kyungsoo looks at him, straight in the eyes, as if searching for something. "Stop running away from me Chanyeol. If you can't love me then please stay by my side as my bestfriend"

Baekhyun expects Luhan to hit him, or shout at him but never this shocked expression that Luhan always shows when he's unsure of what to do. Sehun looks at Luhan then to Baekhyun then back to Luhan. "Babe.." But Luhan just looks at Baekhyun, as if he's frozen from the spot.

Baekhyun can feel his heart race so fast with nervousness. "Come on Luhan... Scold me if you want.. I hate this already" Luhan shook his head, "I... I don't know what to say" Sehun holds Luhan's hand and looks at Baekhyun.

"Baekhyun, in my opinion, it seems like you have feelings for Chanyeol but the same time it could be an effect of your break up with Taeyeon."

Baekhyun lightly smiles, "That's my other theory. I feel like I'm longing for someone" That's when Luhan realize something, "then, Chanyeol must be doing something that you like." Baekhyun stops, in all honesty, Chanyeol never did anything good. He took Baekhyun home when he was drunk because Kai asked him to, Baekhyun was invited in the beach because of Chanyeol's mom and all the times Chanyeol approached him is because he did something wrong. "Um.. I don't think so.."

That's when Luhan came back to his senses. "You need to have a proper closure with Taeyeon. If your weird hormones doesn't stop after that, we'll do something about it" Baekhyun just nods while Sehun turns to Luhan.

When Baekhyun leaves the couple to contact Taeyeon, Sehun spoke, "why would you let him talk to Taeyeon when you know it'll hurt him?" Luhan turns to Sehun. "Look, Chanyeol doesn't like him. It's pretty obvious" Sehun shakes his head, "But what if he does?" Luhan looks away, "he can't..."

Sehun holds Luhan's hands. "Luhan, I know you don't want Baekhyun to be judged because you treat him like your own child and you're worried sick because you know he's such a good person and he'll be hurt so badly but think about it. What if Chanyeol likes him but is in the denial stage? What if Chanyeol is his ticket to happiness? Would you take that away from him?"
