Chapter Fifty Five

There are tears in Baekhyun's eyes and Chanyeol kissed all those away. Baekhyun looks at him, how he wants them to be like this forever, but everytime he wishes this, he would remember Kyungsoo.

Baekhyun moves away and fakes a smile, "I need to go. Thank you for everything, Chanyeol." He is about to stand up when Chanyeol pulls him to a hug. "Please, I'm not the type to say these things, but stay a little longer"

Baekhyun wants to hug him back, but he decides not to. Chanyeol closes his eyes and pats Baekhyun's back. "Just one day Baek. Give me one day to make you happy again" Baekhyun moves away and looks at him with anticipation. "One day?" Chanyeol smiles widely.

Luhan stands up from his seat, surprising Sehun who just woke up. "WHAT!! You're going to the beach!! I haven't even seen you last night Byun Baekhyun. What the hell is happening?!"

Baekhyun looks at Chanyeol as the giant prepares everything for their spontaneous trip. He smiles, "I don't know, Lu. I think, I'm just gonna follow my heart's desire for today" Luhan sighs on the other line. "What can I do if you put it that way? Oh well. Take care okay!! Don't do anything stupid!" Baekhyun chuckles, "I won't. See you when I get back"

Sehun looks at Luhan who is still in shock. "Your son is growing, babe. You gotta prepare for the day he decides to settle down with Chanyeol" Luhan glares at his boyfriend and throws him a pillow.

Baekhyun takes a deep breath. "I'm sorry Kyungsoo. Just for this day. I'll let you have him soon." He turns around and sees Chanyeol looking happy as ever.

Chanyeol is decided, he wants to make Baekhyun happy. He wants to be the reason why Baekhyun is indeed happy. During all those times they spent together, even though there are a lot of mystery and confusion, finally Chanyeol is sure. Baekhyun is no longer his toy or distraction, he finally developed feelings for the small puppy and he can't let go of him.

Chanyeol looks at Baekhyun as they both sat inside the car. Baekhyun turns to him as well and they both smile to each other. "Ready?" Chanyeol asks while Baekhyun nodded.

The music was on, they were both singing with the songs they know. The atmosphere is light, along with the beautiful weather. Everything feels so right.

Chanyeol chuckles at the way Baekhyun sang. He never knew that the latter has a good singing voice. He misses this, the way Baekhyun smiles. The old sunshine is really back. His glow is different from Kyungsoo, as Chanyeol hates to compare them, he feels happier with Baekhyun.

It took them 3 hours before they reached the beach. "Chanyeol, why do we always go to a beach?" Baekhyun asks as he wears Chanyeol's sunglasses. The giant smiles, "the beach is my escape from reality. Whenever I'm here, I feel like I don't have any problems" Baekhyun turns to him and smiles. "Then let's enjoy this moment"

Chanyeol was right. The beach is really the escape from reality. Baekhyun was so happy that he forgot all his pain, from his mom, dad, Kyungsoo, Taeyeon and anybody else. For the first time since Taeyeon left, Baekhyun is geniunely happy.

They both swam and played with the sand. Chanyeol takes different photos of Baekhyun. They also ate a lot of unique delicacies. It's as if they were the only people there.

It was already in the afternoon, the sun is about to set when they decided to lay on the sand. They are enjoying the breeze and the sound of the ocean. Baekhyun closes his eyes to relax when he felt Chanyeol's hand in his. He turns and sees the giant's eyes closed as well.

"Baekhyun-ah..."

"Yeah?"

"Can I tell you something?"

"S-sure..."

"I think I'm so damn inlove with you too"
