Artifical Love

FINAL CHAPTER

When Chanyeol wakes up, he is alone in his condominium. He groans, everything was perfect. Baekhyun taking care of him, sleeping beside him but everything goes back to normal when he wakes up. It's like a dream that will never come true.

Chanyeol sits, he can feel his head hurt so much. He notices some medicine and water by the bedside table. He gets one tablet and drinks water. He has a meeting to attend to in 3 hours and he really isn't in mood.

He walks to the bathroom when he sees some breakfast by the small table. His eyes glitter when he sees a note. "Eat this, I'm not a good cook but it's edible. PS: good luck on your meeting! Hwaiting~" Chanyeol smiles, it's enough to complete his day.

For the past few days, Chanyeol felt somehow alive again. Knowing that Baekhyun didn't fully abandon him is enough for him to survive. The meeting started on time, everything went well, thanks to Chanyeol's skill and intelligence. Mrs. Park is glad, she knows how great her son is, he just doesn't understand her plan yet.

Kyungsoo attended the meeting as well, as much as he wanted to avoid Chanyeol, he can't because his father needs him to represent their company. Kyungsoo smiles, this is what Chanyeol is born to do, a successful CEO.

After the said meeting, Chanyeol goes back to his room. He then realizes that he received 10 missed calls from an unknown number. He is about to call it when he receives another message, this time, from another unknown number.

"Hey. This is Sehun, I tried calling you since Baekhyun agreed to come with us back to China. Luhan knows a psychiatrist here. Eunji is coming with us. I know you wanted to see him before he goes, but I think you have a meeting or something. Anyways! We just arrived in China, this is my number here. Baekhyun doesn't know I'm contacting you and Luhan is too indenial to tell you that he's the one who suggested it. Don't worry, I'll always give you updates on Baekhyun and no one's gonna steal him from you. ;)"

Chanyeol should be glad that Baekhyun arrived safely, but the same time he feels terrible that they are oceans aparts now. He is about to get the wine bottle under the table when he sees Baekhyun's note this morning.

He smiles, "so this is really our time to fix ourselves huh?"

[7 years later]

"He's been going to that park hoping that our Baekkie would come back?!" Luhan reiterates what Kai just said from Skype. Kai nods on the other side of the video. "Uh-huh. He told me that's what he said to him before they separated."

"Aww so sweet" Sehun comments and hugs Luhan who is still shocked while Eunji smiles, "he really does love oppa". Kai proudly smiles, "Chanyeol really did change, a lot. He is also now the CEO of their company. So, how is Baekhyun?"

The three turn to each other. "Well, he's fine. The treatment seems to be working though. He also has a nice job here" Eunji explains. Kai nods, "I miss him, and everyone of you. Be sure to visit us, okay?" Luhan, Eunji and Sehun smiles.

Chanyeol checks the time: 4:45 pm. He lightly smiles thinking this is his moment to go to the park. He rides his car and leaves the building.

It has became a routine for him, ever since he knew that Baekhyun left, he would go to that park as he promised. He would stay for 3-5 hours, watching different people enjoy and bond. There are a lot of times when he'd imagine being with Baekhyun there, other times, think of what could have been if they never broke up, or maybe when Baekhyun decides to come back.

Nothing has changed, he's still as in love as before. He's still waiting for the day Baekhyun comes back.

When he arrives at the park, surprisingly there are less people that afternoon. He directly goes to his usual spot. He is near when he stops his tracks.

There is someone there, sitting by the old tree and is reading a book. It's as if time slowed down, the wind blowing the leaves that fall from the trees, the sun is setting, indeed everything is perfect.

Especially now that Byun Baekhyun is the one sitting there.

Baekhyun stops upon noticing the familiar face. He smiles, Chanyeol might be wearing formal clothes but his facial expression is still the same. He closes his book and walks to the giant.

"Hi"

Chanyeol smiles, he wants to pinch the smaller in front of him to make sure that this isn't a dream until Baekhyun hugs him. "I missed you, Chanyeol."

Chanyeol smiles, he is so happy that tears are forming in his eyes. "I missed you too, Baek"
