Chapter Forty Nine

Baekhyun watches as Chanyeol cooks for him. He knows what he's feeling but he is too indenial to admit it to himself. As someone who lived as a straight man, he couldn't just accept that one day because of a certain Park Chanyeol, he would be gay. Sure, there are times when he is sure that he loves Chanyeol but most of the time, he just feels really confused.

Besides, as if Chanyeol feels the same way about him.

Chanyeol knows the truth. He knows the meaning of these butterflies in his stomach. He turns and sees Baekhyun pouting. "Hey, is everything alright?"

Baekhyun immediately smiles, "of course! I.. I was just thinking about something" Chanyeol nods and places the food on the table. "Don't try thinking weird things about me okay"

Baekhyun instantly blushes and throws a pillow at Chanyeol's face. The taller man laughs, "aigoo Byun Baekhyun. I'm not your boyfriend yet and you're imagining things already" with Chanyeol's statement, Baekhyun turned into a bright tomato. "W-who said you'll be my boyfriend?"

Chanyeol moves closer to him, "you don't want to?" Baekhyun stands up, "I'm a straight guy! Stop teasing me!" Chanyeol holds his hand, "oh really?" Baekhyun is in panic, his heart is beating so loudly, his cheeks are burning and his body is weak. "Stop playing with me!" He shouts making Chanyeol laugh so hard, he pulls Baekhyun closer to him. "You really make me happy"

Baekhyun looks at him, yeah, he has to admit the harsh reality. He is gay and he is awfully inlove with Park Chanyeol.

Chanyeol smiles but remembers his future and all his mother's plans. He knows he can leave everything and be with Baekhyun, but he is afraid to ruin Baekhyun's life. He doesn't want the latter to suffer because of him. But the same time, he wants to shout out to everyone how much Baekhyun means to him, how much he loves him.

Baekhyun bit his lip, "Chanyeol.. I..."

Chanyeol gulps and smiles, "not now Baek. Not today." Baekhyun looks confused, what did Chanyeol understand?

"I was going to say..." he got cut off when Chanyeol kisses him making Baekhyun freeze on the spot. "Don't leave my side, no matter what happens Byun Baekhyun. Promise me that"

This is the first time Baekhyun saw Chanyeol like that. He looks so sincere and full of emotions. Somehow Baekhyun understands that their feelings are mutual but he couldn't just assume without Chanyeol really saying it.

Chanyeol smiles, "promise?" Baekhyun nodded, "I promise, Yeol"
