"Are you threatening us?" Darren, who now without his suit, was a tall muscular man with a shaven head and old school tribal tattoo's creeping up his neck. We had the typical kind of face you'd expect to see on  a wrestler, with a nose to rival a boxers.

Before the doctor could answer a loud, long rumble sounded far above them. It felt like the vibration from it seemed to travel downwards slowly until the ground beneath their feet shook with the force of a small scale earthquake.

The doctor braced himself, already expecting what came next. An ear ringing grinding sound, accompanied with an echoing muffled crack. The ground shook again but it was more like standing on a powerful foot massager. A bone shaking vibration that rose up and made your whole body tremble.

The Doctor instinctively grabbed Kitty, who was having a hard time keeping upright.

"Are you alright?" He asked her quietly as just as suddenly, everything stopped.

"Everyone okay?" Darren shouted to his crew, with an influx of 'yes' 'yeah' ' fine' greeting him in answer. "Damn ice."

"What WAS that?" Kitty broke away from the Doctors light grip on her arm. A kind of flicker of panic passing through her eyes.

"Ice." Replied Darren flatly. "Up on the surface, it moves sometimes."

"Right." She replied crossing her arms "So...why exactly ARE you mining on a condemned planet that does THAT every now and again?" She rose her eyebrows at him, cocking her head slightly.

"You-"

"Darren!" A younger voice interrupted and a thin looking teenage boy pushed his way past. A mop of dark hair flattened to his head from sweat. "They were out there through that! What if something's happened?  What if they aren't-"

"Look." Darren placed a large hand on the boys shoulder "Finn- Your mother knows what she's doing out there. She was probably expecting it. Let us rest for a while and we'll go straight back out there and find them, unless they come back before we head out. Keep calm, Alright?" He gave the boy a slight reassuring shake as the boy gave a firm nod, ever so slightly biting his lip.

The boy, gave a suspicious glance at The Doctor and Kitty before retreating to a far corner, sitting on a metal bed.

"And you two-" Darren glared at them "Not a word. I'm making it clear that I don't trust you, either of you. Where we go-you go. Understand?"

The Doctor and Kitty exchanged a quick glance before Kitty slid away. Making her way towards the Boy. Behind her she heard The Doctor, still rabbiting on about this Europaen platinum.

"Hey." She shoved her hands in the back pockets of her cargo pants and gave the boy a kind smile.

Quickly he wiped his eyes, turning away from her.

"Finn- was it? Is that short for anything?"

"Finnick." He cleared his throat, still not facing her.

"That's unique! I've never heard that name before! I like it." She genuinely did.

He gave a little dis-believing snort "What planet are you from? It's such a common name."

"Same place you're from." she sat down, cross legged on the floor next to his bed.

"You don't look like you are-neither does he." He nodded in the general direction of The Doctor, who was now seemingly having a whale of a time, inspecting all their equipment."He's a bit....weird."

Kitty chuckled "Yeah-he is a bit. But he's brilliant. He's super-clever. If there was any danger he'd do his best to help you. How old are you?"

"14. What's he a Doctor of?"

"Pretty much everything, really."

"What about you?"

"Me?...oh I'm just his....apprentice, kind -of."

"My mum's a Doctor."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. She's really good too." He sighed and added "I hope she's okay."

This is what Kitty wanted to know the most, so she asked "Where is she?"

"She went out to the caves this morning with Marcus. They thought they spotted some of that stupid platinum that was half mined further in. She hasn't come back yet. We went looking but we found you two instead."

"I'm sorry. I'm sure she's okay. There's nothing else on this Moon, right?"

Finn looked up, glancing at Darren and a red haired woman who was trying to stop the doctor from 'fixing' something with his sonic. He spoke quietly "My mum thinks there is."

A sudden clatter as the entrance to the pod flew open. A person in a suit stumbled in and bent double as if trying to catch their breath. Darren rushed up, quickly removing the helmet. Long blonde hair fell out, darker slightly curled wet streaks breaking it up.

"MUM!" Darren shouted, diving off the bed and racing towards her.

Kitty followed.

"Finn-oh Finn!" She gasped as she embraced her son tightly. She seemed flushed and out of breath.

"Get her some water!" Shouted Darren as he guided the woman to sit on a sort of foiled camping chair. "Marie-what happened? Where's Marcus?"

The woman lifted her head, she had round blue eyes and model-like features but her glare at Darren was hard as stone before she dropped her eyes, taking the cup of water that had been handed to her. ".....I don't know." she hesitated with her answer and both The doctor and Kitty noticed it. "We got separated. I got lost."

"This is why I told you both not to go. We've got to waste valuable time trying to find him now instead of finding and mining the platinum! 2 weeks we've been here already and we haven't found a single damn bit!"

"That's not our fault!" A tall man with glasses interjected "The whole moon could've been mined completely. We all know how rare the platinum is. I say we forget it. Find Marcus and pack up-before we starve to death or we get caught." he glared at the Doctor. Lots of people here seemed to be glaring at The Doctor. "If we haven't already been."

"We are not leaving! We are staying until we find some platinum or die trying! I'm not going back without it."

"Darren!" Marie snapped gesturing towards Finn.

"You knew what you signed up for before you chose to come-and bring him." He retorted.

"I HAD no choice!" she shouted back "None of us did."

Silence fell for a moment before she asked "Who's the guy in the suit?"

The Doctor grinned, glad to finally be noticed "Hi-I'm the Doctor." He gave a small wave.

"Doctor what?"

He shrugged "Close enough- not what-who but nevermind. Just the Doctor...doc-tor...and this, is Kitty. Shes here too." He nodded to the short slim girl with brown hair standing just behind him.

"Okay...? I'm Doctor Marie Asper, Acting M.D of this crew."

"Ooooh another Doctor- I always like it when there's another Doctor!" he grinned widely, bouncing slightly on his tip toes.

Dr Asper looked back at him, a half confused half bemused look on her face before turning back to Darren. "Anyway-I think West is right. We should leave, as soon as possible...now."
