The Warrior (continuing from optimistic_dreamer)

First step

I growled loudly. Who dared to pull away my mate from me?

Olivia was quick to react and freed herself. She laid a hand onto my chest and whispered my name soothingly. That did the trick and I came to my senses again. Still I was not excited that someone interrupted our moment.

"Who are you and what are you doing with my sister?", said the man in front of me angrily.

Those word's put my wolf at ease as he realizied that this man was Olivia's brother and no threat for us.

I tried to show him with my smell that I was no danger to him or to Olivia. Still I told him:" I'm Leon Hunt and I'm your sister's mate."

His next reaction surprised both myself and my wolf: he laughed.

I looked at Olivia for any kind of information about her brother's reaction, but she just smiled at me and said shrugging:" Tommy doesn't think you are my real mate. As you know healers usually don't have one."

"Wait! So he's the real deal? He's your mate? But how?" Tommy had stopped laughing as he heard our conversation.
He began to walk towards me so that he was directly in front of me. Tommy looked deep into my eyes and stood up straighter. I guessed that he tried to intimidate me, but we both knew that I was a more powerful wolf and that I would win if the tried to fight with me.

"I don't know how, but I'm more than grateful that the moon goddess blessed me with Olivia as my mate.", I tried to tell him in a measured voice. Although my wolf and I knew very well that we were stronger we still didn't like him tempting us.

"Well Mr. Hunt, I don't know if you know, but a lot of wolves came to my father and claimed that Olivia was their mate, which of course she wasn't. So excuse me if I'm being suspicious about your motives.", Tommy told me threatingly.

My wolf was enraged about the fact that someone wanted to claim Olivia as their own, but now I had better control over him. I just looked at Olivia and she lowerd her gaze at the floor and blushed furiously. This conformation didn't sit well with me and my face must have shown it, because Tommy took several steps back and said in a louder voice:" Wohw, okay stop making that creepy face. I dind't say that anyone succeeded now did I? My dad and I would never allow someone to take Olivia, if it wasn't her mate."

My posture realxed a bit and I told him:" I can see that."

"See. So you must already have met my dad.", Tommy told me smugly. "Still that doesn't mean I believe that you are Livi's mate."

I looked him dead in the eye and said threatingly:" You better believe it, because your sister is my mate and now take me to your father!"

Tommy was surprised with my order, but just looked once doubtfully at an encouragingly smiling Olivia and made with his hand the gesture to follow him. Then he turned around and made his way to Alpha Lockhart's study.

After Tommy turned around, Olivia came to me and took my hand. She looked me deep in the eyes and slowly leaned in to kiss my lips. It was a very sweet kiss and one I would love to drag on longer, but first I had to convince Olivia's father and brother that she was indeed my mate.
