Future perspectives

I could not believe my eyes as I saw Olivia lovingly staring into my wide eyes.

"You're awake!", I stated the obvious. I was just so surprised. My wolf howled in triumph and I almost mindlinked Mason and Jake about the very good news, but selfishly I held back. I wanted to spend a few moments alone with my mate and convince myself that she was indeed really awake.

I had already placed my hand on one side of her face and caressed her cheek. Olivia leaned instantly into my touch and I felt the tingles circulating through my whole body.

Her gaze then darkend as she took in my appearance and asked: "How long was I out for?"

I sight and answered: "For three days. The longest three days in my entire life!"

With both of her hands she pulled my face closer and kissed me right on my lips. I was too surprised to react at first, but after her soft lips began to move on mine and Olivia softly nibbled on my bottom lip I was quick to respond and deepend the kiss.

She moaned into our kiss and I had to restrain myself to not let it go any further and I had to remind myself that the healer had to check on her. I had to pull away from her addictice lips and I noticed her face fall a bit.

I pecked her lightly on the lips once again and whispered: "I would love to continue baby, but the healer has to check on you! I have to know for sure that you're going to be okay!"

She nodded in understanding and responded: "While the healer checks on me, can you please take care of yourself? As much as I appreciate that you were always by my side and believe me you were my anchor through all this, you look like hell and I hate that it's because of me!"

I shook my head in denial and said: "I'm sorry, I just...I didn't want to leave you. It's what got in you in this condition the first time."

Livy placed a finger on my lips and whispered: "It wasn't your fault, neither Mason's. Nobody could have predictet that your uncle would do that!"

I groaned, leaned my forehead against her own and said: "I knew you would say that!"

She giggled and it was such a delighted sound that I could not help, but to smile as well.

"Please only come back once you're showered and have eaten something!", Olivia pleaded with me.

I once again took her lips in a scorching kiss and mindlinked Mason and Jake to send the healer to Olivia.

We were both breathing heavily once I pulled away from her and I whispered: "Please let this not be a dream!"

Olivia traced my lips with her fingers and promised: "It's not! I love you! Now go."

I laughed at her commanding tone at the end and went to leave the hospital wing. At the door I turned around again just to realize that my mate was ogling me. I let out a deep growl, because there was absolutely nothing I could do to satisfy my growing need for her.

As soon as I was out the door Mason and Jake were in my face and bombarded me with questions.

"Did something happen?"

"Why did we have to mindlink the healer?"

I saw the healer making his way to us and when he noticed my smile he rushed into the hospital wing propbably guessing why I was in such a good mood all of a sudden.

"She woke up!", I told both of them.

"THANK GOD!", Mason exclaimed and Jake patted my shoulder lightly.

"I have to go shower and eat something. Once the healer is out again you can go in, but please guys, behave yourself! Don't scream, don't speak too quickly - just don't overwhelm her!", I pleaded with them.

Mason rolled his eyes and Jake chuckled saying: "It's not our fault we're overwhelming."

I rolled my eyes at them as well, but had a smile on my lips.

I dashed into the bathroom and took the quickest shower possible while cleaning my whole body. Once in new clothes I rushed into the kitchen, grabbed something to eat and made my way to the hospital again.

I could hear Mason and Jake talking with Olivia, meaning that the healer should already be finished checking on her. I saw him, just wanting to leave the hospital wing, writing something down and heading in my direction. I cleared my throat and when he saw me, the healer nodded kindly in my direction: "She's alright. I don't know how, but she's going to be back to her usual strenght soon!"

I exhaled deeply and responded: "Thank you!" and because I knew had to apologize I added sheepishly: "And I'm sorry about me wanting to attack you!"

The healer laughed at me, however, he understood completely and left.

When I came closer to Olivia's bed again I could hear Mason apologize profusely and her calming him down.

All of them sensed me coming closer and Olivia smiled at me saying: "Look who seems much better!"

Mason and Jake chuckled and I could not help but join them.

We began to fill Olivia in on my uncle's action, Mason and Jake not being warriors too and when it came to the topic about what we were going to do from now on, my mate stated happily: "I think the new Alpha of the Blue moon pack needs two new Betas."

I could have kissed her at this moment, well I could kiss her anytime to be honest, but my mate just said what I simplay could not, or better said I did not dare to. I did not know if Mason and Jake wanted to tag along. They now had mates waiting for them somewhere and I just was not sure if they wanted to stay with Olivia and me.

Mason was the first to react. "I always knew I was destined for greatness!"

I chuckled at that and Jake answered as well: "I'm in as well, that is if Leo wants to have us..."

Mason and Jake looked up at me and I responded instantly: "I wouldn't want to do it without my brothers!"

They proudly grinned at each other and I knew that now was the moment I was waiting for all my life.

I took Olivia's hand in mine and looked deep in her emerald green eyes.

"All my life I felt like there was something missing, that I wasn't whole. I spend my life wondering if there was someone out there for me while knowing it couldn't be. Then I met you and I instantly knew that we were meant to be together. You are my miracle Olivia and I can't tell you enough how much you mean to me, how much I love you and how much I adore you. You're my favourite person in the whole wide world and I want to make you so happy!"

During my speech my mate had begun to tear up and when I kneeld down beside her she desperately tried to stop her tears.

I pulled out a ring box from my pants and opened it. Olivia gasped when she saw the diamond equipped ring.

"This ring belonged to my mother and she always told me to give it to someone special. I couldn't imagine anyone being more special than you. You are so gorgeous, so beautiful and not only on the outside. You amaze me each day. I'll always wonder how I deserve someone as innocent, as good naturedly, as loving and simply as amazing as you are, but I thank the moongoddess for blessing me with you. You are my forever Olivia!"

I took a deep breath and asked her:" Willl you do me the honour and marry me?"
