Mirror, mirror on the wall

"What did you just say?", I wanted to know desperately from Olivia.

She seemed to notice my astounded expression and responded: "The riddle you just spoke of. The answer is a mirror. A mirror shows your external appearance, but it can't reflect your thoughts."

I kissed her on the lips. "You're brilliant!"

I immediately got out of bed and dressed in some sweats and a shirt. When I realized that Olivia was not following suit I turned around just to see her still in bed looking at me confused.

My wolf reprimanded me for forgetting to tell our mate about the riddle.

"I'm sorry I was so caught up with everything, I didn't tell you that Sir Alexander gave me a riddle.", I looked sheepishly at her and took a seat beside her on the bed.

Although Olivia was covered with a blanket I could still see a bit of her lush tits. I had to look away, because otherwise I would take her again and we had more important things to take care of for now. Furthermore she must be sore from our love making, so I had to restrain myself anyway.

"Okay so what should we do now?", Olivia asked still confused.

I told her about Sir Alexander giving me riddles when I was still a teenager on summer vacation here and that they always meant something. Then I explained to her that the head apparently wanted me to solve the riddle soon, because when he almost fainted in the council's room he asked if I had already solved it.

Olivia nodded and said: "I heard him asking, but I didn't know what it was about."

"I'm sorry, I totally forgot to tell you. I see now that if I had told you sooner, we would already know more about what Sir Alexander's secret is.", I told her.

While I mindlinked Mason and Jake and telling them to meet us here, Olivia dresses herself in jean shorts and a comfortable looking grey tshirt.

She was just about to get her hair up in a pony tail in front of the mirror in our room, when I noticed her mark. Pure possession spread trough my whole body and I was behind her in a flash. My hands were on her waist and my mouth kissed down her neck until I reached my mark.

I kissed it softly and Olivia moaned, turning her head so I had better access. I began to lick and suck on it, because my mate seemed to sink in pleasure. I could already smell her arousal and just when I let my fingers wander to the button of her jean shorts a knock once again interrupted us.

I growled in frustration and heard Mason and Jake snickering from outside.

Olivia turned in my arms and kissed me once very gently and whispered: "To be coninued!"

I smiled tenderly at her and answered: "You can bet on that!"

We went outside, because I was sure our room reeked of our love making and I did not want Mason or Jake to enter it.

"Oh look who has mated!", Jake grinningly welcomed us.

Olivia blushed but send him a shy smile while I just looked expressionless at him.

"So what's so urgent that I can't get my full 10 hours of sleep?", Mason started to complain.

Sometimes I could swear that Mason was still a child. I mean which adult needed more than 8 hours of sleep. Sleeping in from time to time okay, but he was a full grown 25 year old.

"Olivia solved Sir Alexander's riddle.", I told them.

"What?!", Jake exclaimed, but immediately hushed his voice again and asked: "What's the solution?"

"A mirror.", Olivia answered him.

Jake face palmed himself and Mason laughed at him.

"Of course, how could we be so stupid!", Jake wondered.

I growled at him, because my wolf did not take it well if someone criticized us.

"Which mirror do you think he means?", Mason asked.

I had alreay thought about this and responded certainly: "The mirror in his bedroom."

Olivia, Mason and Jake nodded in understanding and now that I could also mindlink with Olivia we communicated just through it.

I was delighted when I heard Olivia in my head and she also had a smile on her face when I told them something through the mindlink.

We made our way quietly to Sir Alexander's room and discussed trough the mindlink how we would destract the five guards on watch.

When we came closer all of us had a feeling that something was not quite right.

Without knocking I opened the door to Sir Alexander's room and the sight that greeted us almost made me gag.

Sir Alexander was still in his bed, but the five guards lay on the floor with their troats ripped out.

Olivia gasped behind me and looked with horror at the guards.

Mason, Jake and I were more used to scenarios like this so we began to analyze what could have happened.

It was obvious from the positon of the dead guards that two of them had been in front of the door and when they had heard noises from inside the room they had entered and had been killed immediately.

Olivia was beside Sir Alexander and checked his vitals. Altough he was still alive his breathing was very faint.

"The person who killed all the guards also gave Sir Alexander a shot of wolfsbane.", she told us showing us the spot were the needle was injected.

"Can you help him?", I wanted to know.

Olivia looked uncertainly at me and spoke via our own mindlink.

You know I can.

I instantly realized what she meant and did not like it.

Can you heal him just that much that he survives and you can treat him with potions afterwards?

My mate sadly looked down at Sir Alexander.

I don't know. I just did it once with Mason and I don't know if I can stop or control it.

I exhaled deeply. I did not know if Olivia so shortly after fully healing Mason was able to heal another person as well without endangering her own life.
On the other side I just knew that I would blame myself for not letting Olivia try and that she wanted to try as well.

I nodded my consent and Olivia smiled sweetly at me and began to close her eyes in concentration. Her hands were on Sir Alexander's heart and I could see green sparks flowing from them into his body.

I turned around somehow not able to look at Olivia giving her life energy away and saw Mason and Jake looking at the mirror.

I focused my thoughts on the riddle again and stepped closer to the mirror.

"We already looked behind the mirror to see if there is a safe in the wall, but there's nothing.", Jake told me.

I did not know how that thought occured to me, but I just let it guide me. I reached my hand out towards the mirror and just when I was about to touch the surface it blurred and my hand disappeared inside the mirror.

"Woohw!", Mason yelled and I immediately looked at Olivia to see if she was disturbed by his scream.

My mate still stood there giving her best in healing the werewolf council's head. Never had I seen a more selfless creature. I just hoped she knew when to stop.

"Okay that's too creepy for me. I'm going to get some more guards.", Jake told us and exited the room.

Overtaken by curiosity I told Mason to not leave Olivia and to instantly call or mindlink me if something happened. Then I stepped right into the mirror.
