"Dad? We got a situation!", was the first thing Tommy said when we three entered his father's office.

As I had expected not only was Olivia's family present, meaning her father and mother and her sister, Sara, and her mate, but also Mason and Jake, who both gawped at me as I entered with Olivia's hand in mine.

I just grinned at them and let Olvia head to her smiling sister, who she embraced lovingly. Undoubtedly congratulating her on finding her mate.

Olivia's sister Sara looked almost nothing like her. Though she almost had the same emerald green eyes as Olivia her hair was brown and reached her shoulders. Whereas Olivia's blond or as I like to see it golden hair was much longer. I didn't know how long exactly, because it was still up in a a hair-do.

Seeing me starring at my lovely mate Mason and Jake tried to contact me trough mindlink, but I just told them that we were mates and I would explain everything later to them.

Alpha Lockhart cleared his troat and all attention was focused on him. He looked at me somewhat confused, whereas his mate clearly figured it out and looked excitedly at me.

Olivia was the perfect mix of both her parents. Her father had brown hair and emerald green eyes and her mother had blonde hair and blue eyes.

So Sara got her look from her dad, whereas Tommy got it from his mother.

"So it seems to me that there is some explaining to do!", the Alpha said in my direction as Olivia returned from congratulating her sister and entwinded our hands again. A fact I was triumphant about.

"But first I want to welcome Alpha McLarence into our family as he is the mate of our Sara!"

Just now I recognized the young Alpha standing beside Sara. I remember seeing him in the ballroom looking really nervous. I went up and talked to him and he surprised me with his knowledge about us being warriors. He told me that when he was a teenager I came to his pack to help them with their rouge problems. To that time I was still in training to become a warrior and I was allowed to visit the Maplewood pack - my first mission so to say.
I could also remember the Alpha's son, an eager boy who wanted to learn everything there was about being an Alpha. Even with such a young age one could see that this boy was made to be an Alpha.

Sara looked lovingly up to her mate, who was taller than her and Alpha McLarence seemed exactly as affected as she was.

"We will dicuss later when Sara leaves with you for your pack, but for now I'm sure Sara wouldn't ming in showing you where you can sleep.", Alpha Lockhart said.

"Make me grandbabys soon, I want to be a young grandma!", the Luna of the Wildflower pack ordered sternly, but good-naturedly.

Sara blushed profusely and her mate too seemed to be embaressed, but he was quick to hide it. The two left the study and Alpha Lockhart looked at us sharply.

I breathed in deeply and let Olivia's vanilla-cinnamon scent calm me down.
Olivia seemed to be a little sad, so I freed my hand entwining hers and instead wraped my arm around her waste. She smiled up at me and leaned into my embrace. I lovingly grinned down at her and kissed her head.

My wolf then told me that my mate is a little sad, because her sister is going to leave with her mate for his pack. She was very close with her and was therefore going to miss her a lot.
My wolf was already in touch with Olivia's wolf and knew my mate's feelings and the reasons behind them. Before I could make sure that Olivia was alright, her father interrupted.

"Shoot!", Alpha Lockhart demanded.

"I'm Olivia's mate!", I stated matter of factly.

"Wonderful, more grandbabys!", the Luna gushes.

"But you are a warrior and our Olivia is a healer. You can't have mates!", the Alpha answered.
Olivia winced at his comment and I tightened my arm aroung her and look angrily at him.

"With all due respect, but I'm not going to listen to you telling me that your daughter is not my mate, when my wolf tells my exactly that she is!", I got out in a calm voice - much calmer than I really was.
Olivia began to caress my back, where her arm was wraped around me and this eased me off a bit.

Her father seemed to realize that he not only hurt his daugther with his words, but also worked me up.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like this, but it is something unheard.", the Alpha said apologetically.

"But dad, just because something is unheard of doesn't mean that it can't exist!", Olivia tells him gently and looks me lovingly in the eyes.
I could kiss her right now for this statement.

Her father exhaled audibly and nodded.
"Oh come on Will. Don't tell me that you can't feel the bond those two are already sharing!", the Luna exclaimed.

Alpha Lockhart tensed for a bit and answered "You're right, my love! I Well, I can't tell you how happy I am that my Olivia has found her mate. However, you also have to understand that there were a lot of werewolves, who claimed that too, so forgive me if I'm suspicious!"

I nodded: "Alpha, I can see how unbelievable this seems, it is for me too, but I always longed for a mate and now that I have found her, I'm never letting her go!"

Looking at Olivia's sparkling eyes I could see that I'm not alone anymore.
I had a mate now, who was willing to fight for us.
