~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Emma POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I drank the dark contents quickly before all hell broke lose. The guys began fighting the only ones who shifted in to their wolves was Ethan, Brandon and Eric. I could see Stefan trying to cast a spell because the rest of us couldn’t see the wolves. I could smell them I could feel their presence but I couldn’t see the ones their eyes were closed.
They knew how to fight in this way, otherwise I wouldn’t be getting slammed left and right. I felt as if the liquid had made my senses dull up and my body became sluggish. I knew something was wrong when I hit the ground and felt a pressure on my back. I was weak and a target.
I let out a cry concentrating and forcing my magic out around my whole body. The creature was shocked off me and I had my colorful protection bubble surrounding me but it was different. It looked and felt weak, like no matter how much energy I pushed to reinforce the walls it didn’t make a difference.
“Emma stop” I heard Stefan say standing besides me whispering a few things as my bubble disintegrated. “They have been draining your energy as soon as they came close enough, sorry I just realized this.”
“What do we do?” I ask looking up at him feeling helpless. If I couldn’t fight would everyone else be fine?
“Look” he says nodding towards the guys. I looked up and saw the creatures finally had a form, they looked like shadows. They were bigger then average werewolves and appeared to have been at one point but now they were just animals. Stefan must have been able to cast a reveling spell so the others could see them as well and it looked like we were winning. There were about a dozen or so on the ground injured or worst but my group still stood strong and fought back.
“These guys are all trained… to fight wolfs in both human and werewolf form” Stefan says with a proud smile.
“Why aren’t we getting attacked now?” I asked softly looking back up at Stefan and he just chuckled.
“Because I cast a spell so they couldn’t sense us… They were trying to drain your energy to become stronger, they tried with me too” He explained with a grim expression. “Its like they know who had magical properties…”
“Wait is Leo ok?” I asked knowing he had the least amount of training out of everyone. I searched and found him fighting along side of Richard and instantly felt calmer, they seemed to fight well, like a team.
“Everyone is doing fine…” He says but a hint of something in his eyes betrayed him. I knew what it was, me. I was the only one who was struggling through out this whole thing, even thought Stefan kept them away from me I could still feel my energy slipping away.
“They are retreating!” Ethan yelled as he growled at them. He had shifted back to human form and he stood tall and proud like the alpha he was. He barely even broke a sweat and his body maybe held a few scratches but that was about it.
The creatures were all over the place some laying on the ground and others backing away slowly. Their yellow hungry eyes remained steady on my group. They were fading away slowly some in to the ground some in to the wind, it was strange.
