<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<Christ POV >>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I had my jaw clenched tightly as I watched Emma’s beautiful eyes filled with sadness. It was rough for her to constantly be denied things; I knew that. She didn’t get a chance to have freedom like she ones used to. She was always locked up and under others supervision. She might be happy to be in the pack house but I knew that she was getting close to the breaking point; she needed to go out and breathe.

That’s why I took her to talk outside I knew she needed it. Being her mate meant more than feeling sparks it meant that we could understand one another.  I could understand that she still held a human mentality which was why I tried not to use my abilities and seem as normal as possible I didn’t want her to freak out. I wanted her to feel comfortable with me and happy.

“Emma… go up to your room will ya?” I ask her as I turn to face Ethan and glaring at him. This was far from over and if I had to beat Ethan and lock him up I would.

“I’ll wait up there for you” she whispers walking towards the stairs. I knew she felt down otherwise she would have just teleported to the room.

“Take a shower and when I’m done, I’ll shower too” I responded giving her a soft smile as she glance back. When I was sure she was out of ear shot I turned to face Ethan. “What the fu-ck do you think you are doing?”

“Protecting her” he responds confidently and crossing his arms on his chest trying to seem intimidating. He was an alpha and the dominance radiated from him but I wasn’t afraid I had more power than him I was sure of that.

“I don’t ever want you to raise your voice to her” I say calmly before moving in front of him in a blink of an eye and towering over him intimidating fashion. “Do you understand?”

“It had to be done… she needs to understand she can’t do what she wants” he responds calmly. I could see his eyes darkening and I was sure he would try to fight me on this.

“She isn’t a prisoner! If our child is your mate I will keep her from you; if you keep this up!” I growled and got close enough to where we were both growling at one another. It was a low shot and a backless threat I would never keep my child from her mate but still. He couldn’t just boss my mate around.

“Don’t threaten me with my mate! I won’t allow that” he says pushing me back.

“Well I won’t allow you to treat Emma like you own her” I spat and push him back he growled loudly and his eyes turned black. I didn’t appreciate him touching me when I was already pissed off.

He was going to shift in to wolf form and fight me; I could feel him losing it. I was fine with it I would fight him but not kill him. I wouldn’t leave my child with out a mate, even if he was an ass. I had fought many werewolves in the war and I wasn’t afraid specially if it meant I would protect my mate.

“Stop this RIGHT NOW” We both heard a voice cut through us with so much power it was hard to ignore for the both of us. We turned to find Emma’s father standing at the door way and he looked pissed. “What is the meaning of this?”
