Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring.

"Hello?"

"Ohayo, Tsukki. It's me."

"Me who?"

"(Name)."

"Sorry, wrong number."

"GET BACK HERE YOU LITTLE SHIT, IT'S (Name)!"

"What do you want? It's a Saturday."

"... I-I need your help... I need to make up for the test I failed."

"Ask Yamaguchi, not me. I'm busy."

"Busy doing what, watching Jurassic World again?"

"Of course not."

"Tsukki. I can hear dinosaur noises from here."

"I'm not watching Jurassic World, stupid. Besides, I've seen it already."

"I hear dinosaur noises. My ears are as sharp as a cat's."

"Whatever. What's in it for me?"

"Um... I'll get you some strawberry shortcake, I guess? I dunno..."

Toot toot toot toot toot toot toot

"Tsukki? Tsukishima? Damn."

Thirty minutes later, while you were tying your hair into a bun, you heard someone ring the doorbell. You finished tying your hair and ran down the stairs.

You opened the door to see Tsukishima. He seemed surprised... You noticed he was looking at your uncovered different-colored eye, and looked away right after you noticed. You shrugged it off.

"I thought you weren't gonna come here?"

"Shut your mouth and let's just get this over with. You disturbed me from doing something important. Where are your books?"

"Pfft. 'Important'. Anyway, in my room. You can go up there, I'll get something from the kitchen."

He went up to your room while you entered the kitchen. You suddenly remembered that your mom bought some pastries from a bakery near her office building, and you prayed she bought some shortcake.

Strawberry shortcake... Strawberry sho- THERE IT IS.

There were three slices left, and you took two plates and placed two refrigerated cakes on the plates.

You went up afterwards.

"So do that. That formula's going to help." He stated, pointing at a formula that was written on a piece of paper.
You tried solving an equation with the given formula. But somehow, your answer was wrong.

Tsukishima pointed at your paper and began eating his share of the shortcake.

"Solve for X." He said, and began teaching you more. For once, he wasn't actually making fun of you. He was quite serious, and the fact that he was helping you made you think deeply and lose focus on what he was teaching you.

He's always serious... But I've only seen him be serious quietly in class. Why isn't this any different? He's being serious as always. Seriously serious seriousness.

Without looking up from the book, you saw him.

The way his hazel eyes moved along as he read some text on your book; the way his lips moved as he spoke... You can see his features up close. Really up close.

You felt your heart beat faster.

You began blushing at the thought that he was kind of... Attractive when he was just... Not making fun of you.

Is that it?

Maybe.

Time has passed and you finally got correct answers using a formula. It was now 4:15 in the afternoon.

"Whew! Thanks a bunch, Tsukki. I believe that shortcake is enough payment?" You asked, lying down on the hardwood floor.

"Nope." He said coldly, standing up and grabbing a bag from underneath your table.

"Wait. You had a bag all this time? But I thought these were my stuff..." You asked, a confused look on your face.

"Idiot, these are my papers. And my pen. And my pencil case. And my book."

You sat up and closed the book that was on your table.

There was a label that said, "Tsukishima Kei - Class 1-4".

"O-oh. Sorry. Thank you for your help."

He simply nodded, and you gave him all his things as he stuffed it all in his small bag. Before going out, he turned around to look at you. he was wearing a serious expression on his face, and he was looking at you. more specifically, your eye. Your uncovered blue eye. You blushed.

He left, and you closed the door.

You leaned on the door with your heart racing.

"Goddammit, heart. Stop beating so damn fast." You whispered to yourself, going back up to your room.

As you entered your room, you noticed something on your table.

"He left his pencil case? Shit, hopefully he hasn't gone too far!" You said, wearing your (favorite color) shirt, and a black tank top on top of it. You ran outside your house and he was nowhere to be seen.

That fast lil' piece of salty crap.

You ran. You ran as fast as you can. You almost forgot about your hair.

Crap, I'm outside and-- my eye!

You immediately remove your hair tie as you were running, and your hair fell gracefully, the wind making it fly a bit.

5:05pm.

You were in front of Tsukishima's house. You rang thw doorbell, and someone answered the door ASAP. It was his older brother, Akiteru.

"Oh, (Name)-chan! It's you. It's been a while! How are you?" He greeted, a big smile in his face.

"Akiteru-kun! I'm doing good, life's a bit... Okay, I believe. How are you?" You replied, a smile on your face.

He chuckled, and said he was doing good too. He asked what brought you to their doorstep, and you showed him his younger brother's pencil case.

"If it's okay, can you please give it to him?"

"Oh... Sorry, I was about to go out and go to the grocery store, then I heard the doorbell, and..."

"Oh, it's fine! I can give it to him myself! I'm sorry for the trouble."

You bowed, and entered the house as Akiteru left. If you remember correctly, the blonde's room is upstairs, the second door to the left.

With the pencil case in hand, you lightly knocked on the door. No answer.

"Tsukki?" You asked out loud, gripping the door knob.

"Excuse m-"

Tsukishima?!
