Chapter Seven

It was Monday morning, lunch time. You really couldn't focus during class, and you didn't get that much sleep due to overthinking what happened during the weekend. You sighed, put a strand of hair at the back of you ear and grabbed your bag. You rummaged it to find your lunch, but it wasn't in there. You sighed.

As you stood up, you saw Tsukishima stand up and head out to the door with his headphones on and his hands in his pockets. Yamaguchi followed.

Weird... They always bring lunch.

You went out as well, but instead of following the two boys, you headed to Chichi and Mayu's classroom.

"Excuse me, Chiyo and Mayumi? Are they here?" You asked one of their classmates who was near the door.

"Oh, you're (Last name)-san, right? Sorry, they just left."

"Oh, ok. Thank you anyway."

You sighed and walked along the hallway. As you walked, you overheard some students talking. Well, about you.

"Hey, isn't she (Last name) from class 1-4?"

"Mhm, that's her. She's just so weird. Everyday, I see her going to school with her bangs covering one eye."

"Sore eyes, maybe?"

"Or a scar."

"Or maybe she has no eye at all."

And you heard them laugh.

Here we go again.

You just walked passed them.

Until you bumped into someone.

"G-gomen."

"AH! (L/N)-SAN!! IT'S YOU!"

You were greeted by the short male from the boy's volleyball team.

"Hinata-kun."

"How are you??"

You glanced back at the students talking shit about you. They were laughing.

"I'm doing just great."

Hinata nodded and started pulling you by the wrist.

"I was going to go to the gym and practice with the others, so come with me!"

"E-eh?"

"(L/N)-san, I heard you were a member of the karate club." The short boy stated, grabbing a volleyball as the other Karasuno members practiced.

Tsukki and Yamaguchi aren't here...

"Y-yes. Why do you ask?"

"I just wanted to test something!"

And in an instant, he threw a volleyball at you, but you caught it with both hands.

"Ne, don't catch it! Hit it!"

What?

"Wait, Hinata-kun, I don't know how to--"

"Try hitting it in any way!" He said enthusiastically, walking farther away from you.

You sighed deeply out of confusion and threw the ball back.

"Hit it, (L/N)-san!" He shouted, and served the ball.

How the hell am I supposed to hit thi-

"GAH!" You exclaimed, kicking the ball upwards and onwards. As it went up you saw Hinata run towards you and spike it aside, letting the ball bounce towards the net.

The Karasuno volleyball team stopped practicing and looked at you and the short boy, amazed.

"You were astonished yourself.

"OH MY GOD!"

"THAT WAS AWESOME!!!! HOW DID YOU DO IT, (L/N)-SAN?!?!?!?!"

"I-I JUST KICKED IT!"

"THE BALL WAS LIKE WHOOSH! AND YOU WERE LIKE KABAM! AND THE BALL FLEW LIKE WHOOPEE! DO IT AGAIN!!"

With a smile on your face, you hit the balls back towards Hinata and he spiked it.

The bell rang.

"Thank you for your help!! I had fun!"

"I had fun too! Although it got me sweaty."

"Here, I'll wipe it for you! Your whole face is sweaty, (L/N)-san!"

"N-no, let me do it-"

"Let me! It's the least I can do!"

"Hinata-kun, no, my bangs-"

"Your hair is soaking with sweat and your hair is down, isn't it hot?"

"It is, but please, stop- HINATA-KUN STOP IT!"

Your voice echoed. Everyone looked at you, and Hinata fell silent for a moment.

"I-I'm sorry. Just let me do it." You stated, grabbing the towel.

Sugawara approached Hinata and asked him if he was ok, for he too was quite confused.

"Oh. I think I know why she's acting like this... With her hair." Sugawara said.

"Eh?"

"I remember Chiyo telling me she had something like a disorder with her eye..."

"A disorder?! Is she sick?!"

"No no, she's fine... I think... Quiet down, ok?"

Hinata nodded.

Sugawara bent down and whispered in his ear.

"Heterochromia iridium."

Shit. I was so into helping Hinata-kun with that volleyball practice thing I forgot to eat. What kinda human am I? You sighed, facepalming.
