I woke up from my nap to someone ringing the doorbell. I hurriedly tied my hair into a messy bun and slip on grey Nike sweatpants.

Running down stairs I almost trip and fell but caught myself on the door. I opened it up to reveal my boyfriend, Shawn, standing there with his hands in his pockets.

"Hey baby girl." He smiled walking in.

I let out a soft yawn, "Hi Shawn."

We went upstairs to my room and I laid back down on my bed as he sat down on the edge. I closed my eyes, waiting for him to speak.

"I think we should break up." He blurted, not looking at me. My eyes shot open and I sat up quickly.

"W-what?" I stuttered, staring at him.

I felt my heart and everything else around me stop. This couldn't be happening. After six months, he wants this to be over?

"I think we should break up. I mean, I've been thinking for a while and the fans and everyone think you're too young and I think you-" I cut him off by yelling.

"Y-you said that age doesn't matter! You said it doesn't fucking matter!" I yelled, standing up.

He looked at me with wide eyes. No one has ever heard me yell before or even cuss. I clenched my jaw, holding back as many tears as possible that were threatening to fall.

"You said that age doesn't mater. If you love someone, it doesn't matter." I whispered, letting the tears fall freely down my cheeks.

Shawn looked at me with guilt and a bit of regret. He stood up and slowly made his way towards me, placing his hand on my cheek, wiping the tears from off my face.

"I'm sorry." He whispered, kissing my forehead. I looked down at the ground.

I bit down on my bottom lip, waiting for him to continue. "I do love you, kitten. I'm so sorry." His voice cracked.

I looked up into his hazel eyes that were now watery. I wrapped my arms around his torso since I'm a bit shorter than him. He wraps his arms around me, making me feel safer in his arms. We hugged each other in silence even thought our hearts were yelling. They were yelling love and even when you love someone, age doesn't matter.
