The music pounded loudly through the room, I had locked the door but the loud music and smell of booze was overpowering.
I had crammed myself into the tiny cupboard in my room trying to drown out the music and disgusting smell. I heard someone banging on my door. The mad person was yelling ‘Open up!’ over and over again. Judging by the noises the person made it was obvious what was going to happen if I did.
Nick told me not to come out of here, at first I was glad he did but now I was just mad. I stood up and walked over to my bag and took out the red cocktail dress Dee had forced me to buy, back then it hugged my body in a few places but now it fit perfectly. I walked over to my make-up bag and gave my eyes a black smoky effect and put on red lipstick. I applied a little bit of mascara and blush before putting on a pair of black heels and leaving the room and locked the door.
I glared at the couple making out against the door and shoved them into the storeroom. The party had hit full swing and when I walked into the room with my head held high and my eyes in a haughty glare guys were obviously checking me out as I glared at them.
I strut over to the punch bowl and decided to take a drink until a tall blonde guy stopped me from drinking it. “It’s spiked. I wouldn’t drink it if I were you.” He warned.
“Thanks. Should have guessed from how the party is going.” I said acidly. He chuckled. We talked about everything from exes to sports to schools.
“Enough small talk, who pissed you off?” He asked I laughed at him.
“Is it that obvious?” I asked, he smirked.
“Yep, girls like you don’t come to parties like this to have fun; it’s not your scene. Usually it’s for revenge or to make someone jealous or because your trying to ‘tame a player’.” He chuckled. I blinked innocently.
“You mean Mackenzie? She’s trying to tame a player but she’s taken a different more effective approach.” I said as I innocently raised an eyebrow. He chuckled.
“Mackenzie, yeah, but she always does that. She found a different more effective approach didn’t she? Too bad it won’t work to well.”
“What makes you say that stranger?” I asked.
“I know a snake when I see one and she’s definitely one. She’s doing this for something else. Not sure who but she never goes for players. Must be something her cousin bribed her to do or something.” He gave me some beer and I gulped it down quickly. The words barely registered in my mind. My thoughts were getting cloudy.
“She’s annoying isn’t she? She steals all the fun. But we can have fun on our own.” I giggled at that as he led me onto the dance floor. I don’t remember much other than dancing and drinking, I drank anything people gave me and danced with everyone, it was fun, my mind went hazy and someone grabbed my arm.
“Kam, leave her alone.” The person holding me said in a threatening manner. I struggled but he was too strong.
“Noooo. Leet mwee dwance.” I slurred out drunkenly as I staggered around. The person supported me and Mike grabbed my arm.
“Let her stay, she’s perfectly fine, let her stay and have fun, after all that’s what she wants right? To have fun.” I giggled and nodded my head. “I can show her a good time, we can have a lot of fun.” I nodded and giggled. The person tugged me from Kam’s grip on me.
“No.” It was all he said but he practically growled it out. I grumbled.
“Nooo. I dun wanna.” I whined. He tugged me of as I staggered after him tripping over my own feet. Finally he gave up and carried me to my room. He led me to the toilet and I puked and puked into it before I closed my eyes. I felt him wipe some of it away from the corner of my mouth and clean my make-up off.
He carefully put me down on the bed and I curled into a small tight ball. He gentle stroked my hair and whispered comforting things to me. I was starting to drift off, he stood up to leave. No, he can’t leave me like this. I grabbed his arm.
“No, Don’t leave me, please stay. Don’t leave me alone.” I sniffed out in my half dazed stupor. I felt him tug a little before curling up next to me. He told me I was safe and I fell asleep in the arms of this mysterious person, I felt safer than I ever did in my life.
