May Chang III POV - Chapter 22

Thursday - 7:03 pm

I won't lie. The fact that I was in front of Willy made me feel weird, yet excited. Willy wasn't a bad guy, I'm sure of that, still he made me uneasy. Regardless, he may help us get Lucas and Ness back.

I looked all around me, the building was extremely nice, it could be even as nice as the Snoop HQ. A lot of people with grey shirts that said 'HYDRA' seemed to be extremely busy; which kind of contrasts the Snoop HQ, in which everybody is mostly calmed. I must admit that without Ness and Lucas' presence everybody seems to be down. If we bring them back, we would make everybody calm once again.

I then listened to Ling questioning Willy and came back to reality. I guess I spaced off, thinking about the Snoop HQ. After all, that place kind of feels like home.

"So, Willy. What are you doing in Hydra?" Ling asked Willy.

"MMMHmmm... Well... I'm on a secret mission." Willy replied.

"Secret mission?"

"Yessss."

"And what are you supposed to do in the secret mission?" I asked.

"It's a s e c r e t." Willy replied.

"Oh." I said.

Willy then turned his head towards Ling, asking, "So, yall gonna stay here?"

"Yeah, I guess." He said.

"Ill gets you a room? K? K!!!" He said, running away from us.

Ling and I wandered around the first floor some minutes, until we saw Willy running towards us. As he approached us, I noticed he had a key connected to a grey keychain with the word 'HYDRA' and the number 178 on the other side.

"Here!!!!!!" Willy screamed out.

"What's this?" I asked.

"Your room!!! The key!! To your room!!" He said.

"Wow! Thanks, Willy!" Ling said.

We then proceeded to follow Willy until room 178, our bedroom. Willy swung the door open, and to our surprise, the room was quite beautiful. I must admit, it's twice as pretty as the one we had back at the Snoop HQ.

The room itself was quite spacious, it had two beds, divided by a nightstand. Lots of digitalized gadgets were laying on a huge table close to the windows. Next to the door was one similar table, but full of candies instead. I couldn't help but stare at the candies a lot.

"My treat." Willy said, winking an eye at Ling and I.

We thanked Willy for the room, and moments later he left us alone. After we settled in, we decided to go take a walk around the building.

While we were at that, my eye spotted someone. That someone noticed Ling and I back, and walked towards us. As the person got nearer and nearer, I finally recognized her. Mary Poppins...

The mere sight of her disgusted me. I remembered how we went to the same school... how she was Ling's best friend before my arrival, and how upset she became when I 'took his best friend away'. And how could I forget the fact that thanks to her we got captured by Poo and put through a lot of pain. We even lost our good friend Spewpa because of her. I will never forget those malicious grins she always had. I dislike her so, so much.

She was now standing in front of Ling and I. I wanted her to go away so much. Ling was asking her some questions, and then they began talking. I could see how tense Ling was. I then spotted some sort of gas coming out from behind her. My vision was becoming blurry. I tugged Ling's shirt, but I knew it was too late. I felt sleepy. I sat on the floor for a while. What is Mary doing? I thought as I involuntarily fell asleep.

I opened my eyes slowly, and tried to make sense of where I was.

"Ling!" I exclaimed, but I got no reply.

I stood up slowly and walked forward. I crashed with some metal bars. It hurt quite a lot, but I managed to look around. I then understood... I was in a cage. Alone.

It was quite dark, so I couldn't make sense of a lot things, like the time or where Ling could possibly be. Perhaps he's on another cage. Damn it...

I'm always next to Ling so being far from him feels rather... strange.
