Kermit V POV - Chapter 46

Wednesday - 9:11 pm

After the meeting finalized, I left the room and went to look for Willy, so he could assign a room to the FBI members. For some strange reason though, I couldn't find him anywhere. Moments later, I came across Waluigi, who told me he saw Willy leaving Hydra. With no more options left, I told Waluigi to do the task I wanted Willy to complete.

Then I went to look for Edicius and Poons, but when I told them I needed to talk to them, they said they were busy figuring out how to use social media or something like that.

I decided to go sleep. "I will tell Edicius and Poons they need to go to the FBI's HQ with Carly, Rayquaza, and the armor-suited guy whose name I forgot, first thing tomorrow. ;)" I whispered to myself as I covered myself with the bedsheets on my bed.

"Kermit!" Someone screamed at me.

I turned my head around, and got greeted by Edward Elric. For some strange reason, my heart began aching. I felt like if I was going to cry. I felt like the never ending hole inside of me got filled. Was all of this because of Edward Elric? Most likely. I ran towards him as quickly as I could, and wrapped my arms around him. Edward looked at me completely confused, but then he just smiled at me.

"Kermit, your pool party is about to start, isn't it?" he asked me.

"Mmm. Not really. We still have some minutes left. Wanna check my swimsuit out?" I asked him, winking an eye at him.

"Oh, sure I do!"

We went to the dressers next to my private pool. I took off the few clothes I had on. I then put on my sexy hot-pink bikini. I saw Edward blushing as he looked at me. At the beginning I thought it was because I looked extremely good in my bikini, but then I realized it was because I changed in front of him. I was about to apologize for my sudden movement, but Edward just smirked at me.

"Wanna see my swimsuit, Kermit?" He asked me smirking once again.

"Sure, let me help you out." I said winking at him.

We both laughed. On the other hand, for some strange reason, Edward's smile made me feel sad inside. I question the entire situation in my mind, but I couldn't get an answer as to why being with Edward Elric made me feel so sad. I then decided to just smile it off. Moments later, I saw Edward coming out of the dressing room. He had a hot-pink swimming suit sort of similar to mine. I guess this is why we are besties. I thought.

We got out of the changing rooms, and minutes later my guests started to arrive. I saluted them all, but I didn't pay them much mind because I was too busy joking around with my best friend Edward Elric. After everybody came to my party, we all got inside of the pool. The first minutes, we all cracked jokes about my job as the protagonist of The Muppets. We all made fun of how irrational my character was, and how serious I was compared to him. We then decided to play water polo, which was my favorite game. The entire game went by very fast, but aggressively. Apparently, everybody liked that game as well, so things became very competitive between everybody. I then decided that we could use that competitive feeling we all had into a much more fun game.

"My dear guests! Would you like to spice things up a little bit!?" I asked everybody excitedly.

Nobody really replied to me, and everything then turned awkward. Fortunately, Edward then screamed, "I would like to spice things up, Kermit. What do you have in mind?"

"A hide-and-seek game!" I replied.

Everybody looked at each other, but after some seconds, they all agreed to follow my idea. Then, all of my guests got out of the pool and dried themselves. Edward then chose me to seek everybody, and I gladly agreed to do so.

"One... two... two and a half... square root of nine! Three million, five hundred and two thousand, two hundred and fifty-two divided by eight hundred seventy-five thousand, five hundred sixty three!" I counted.

After some minutes, I completed the one to ten countdown. I went to search for everybody, but just then, I heard a huge bang. I ran towards the frontal garden of my mansion, just to find all of my friends under my extremely heavy oak tree.

"Sorry! Sir... I!" Said my gardener, but I didn't put any attention to him.

My mind was in complete shock. I couldn't make any sense of what was happening. Ten innocent people were murdered on my garden, by a tree. I looked all around; crimson-colored liquid filled the grass. Blood. It was Blood. It was surrounding my feet. The strong scent of it made me nauseous. My vision turned blurry. I threw towards the tree, trying to pull it off my beloved friends. I couldn't move it that much. It was so heavy.

I spotted a hand, and pulled it, uncovering a body. Edward Elric. I looked at him, completely speechless. I knew very well that he was about to die. I could sense it very well. I could only look at the hopeless look in his eyes.

"Kermit... help." He said weakly.

I wanted to say something. I wanted to help him so bad. I held his hand and tried pulling him. I tried for who knows how long. The smell of Edward's blood on my hand made me feel sicker than before. I suddenly fell onto the floor. I felt the blood on my face, touching every single one of my extremities. I raised my head slowly, just to see Edward's pale face. His eyes were wide open; his face reflected an extreme pain. A pain I couldn't take away.

He was dead.

My best friend was lying dead in front of me.

Edward Elric.

I then woke up, covered in sweat. Why? Why did I have that dream? Why was I remembered of that just now? Oh. I get it. It's because of Edward's brother, isn't it? Just looking at him made me remember Edward. How I couldn't help him. How I couldn't even apologize sincerely to him, or his brother.

I got out of bed quickly, and ran in search of Edward's brother. I needed to talk to him, to tell him how sorry I was for the accident. As I ran in the hallway, I heard some screams. It was someone calling for Carly, apparently. I decided to dismiss it, it was probably nothing.

Then I heard some very hard crying. At the beginning I thought it was only my mind playing tricks on me, but as I walked closer to where the bathroom was, I could hear the cries clearer. I then got to the bathroom, and saw Carly hugging Rayquaza. Edward's brother lied right next to her, shedding some tears.

"Ray... Ray is dead!" Carly cried while hugging Rayquaza.

I ran towards them and saw a pool of blood surrounding them. I felt triggered.

"C-Carly... what happened here? :000" I asked her.

"IT WAS YOU, RIGHT!?" She screamed at me, hugging the dead body closer to her.

"M-me? What?" I asked.

"You killed Rayquaza, didn't you? You might had killed my brother as well! You dirty liar!" Alphonse said.

"I-I didn't! I didn't!" I screamed.

"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!" Carly screamed.

Alphonse then grabbed my arms and pushed me against the wall. Carly then extended her arm, and I saw a knife approaching me. I then felt a throbbing pain on my chest. I then understood, I had just been stabbed. I then fell to the floor. I saw the floor getting filled with my own blood. My vision began getting blurry. I saw some type of light coming from the ceiling. That was it. I was dying.

I then saw the light becoming brighter and brighter. I then saw what seemed like Edward Elric waving his hand at me, telling me to come closer to him. I then heard some voices say, "Alph! Let's go! Let's return to the FBI," the other voice said, "Okay..."

I then heard my dearest Edward telling me how much he missed me, and telling me to come. Everything from there went white.

We'll finally be together, Edward Elric...
