Ling Yao VIII POV - Chapter 55

Friday - 12:00 pm

The sight of May was a necessary one. After all bad that has been going on these past few days, it was good to see a friendly face back. After we greeted each other we continued fighting. Along the fight we got separated from Naruto and Paula, but figured out we could protect ourselves alone, so we didn't search for them.

I was using my handy Hydra Splatling to fight the Hydra army away. I got it from the FBI supplies before the Carrier was destroyed. The last fight I was in I used paint, this time around I am using real bullets. At one point during the ongoing fight we saw Ness approach us. We expected he would join us, but instead attacked us. We were baffled by the sudden affair and couldn't tell him anything. Luckily, he left before doing anything to us.

We kept on fighting while around us fell men and cats alike. I shot several of our enemies. I saw them all fall to the ground smeared in blood. I don't like this. I thought. The feeling of being in a battle was a disturbing one, but nonetheless it was happening. We had to be careful about everything, if there is something GoT taught me, is that I may die anywhere at anytime. Specifically in the battlefield.

I glanced sideways and saw May wrecking everyone. She had visibly killed more than I had, so I decided to step up my game. I started shooting everywhere with my small Splatling. People continued falling, while cats did the same. Blood was everywhere. Bodies lied lifeless on the floor. While we all fought on top of pieces of destroyed cars and construction materials. I noticed that the fight was ceasing down. The fight started about an hour ago, and it was finally coming to an end with a couple of thousands on both sides. There were no more war tanks nor war planes anymore, just people fighting on the ground.

The help that May and Paula brought was essential in the fight. Without the ex-prisoners the fight would have been even more unbalanced, but they did help quite a lot. Sadly, they are less than a quarter than at the beginning at this point.

I shot and shot and shot. Blood filled the floor, from both our enemies and allies. I want this to end. I thought, while hearing the loud explosions and bangs around me. Out of nowhere, more of their army started piling towards us.

"They are too many!" I shouted at May beside me.

"We need to leave!" She shouted back.

From far away I could see Cloud, Alphonse and the attractive teenager I met at Snoop's wedding, fighting against the Hydra army.

"Let's join them!" I yelled while I continued shooting.

She nodded and we crept away from our enemies towards our allies.

The Hydra army continued fighting behind us against some cats who made possible our escape.

Moments later we arrived.

"Hey! How are you holding up?" I asked them upon arrival.

"We are winning the battle!" Alphonse shouted excitedly. "We have to defeat a couple of thousands more though!"

Willy Wonka our old friend then joined us.

"Willy!" May shouted when she saw him.

"Gurl squiddo!" He yelled while cutting Hydra people down with his katana.

The voices drifted slowly away while I focused more on the fight. Bodies went flying all around while I shot them all. May continued using her Kelp Splatterscope to kill our enemies. Alphonse was nearby using a large machine gun to shoot everyone down while sometimes making some gestures with his hands. Cloud was using his Buster Sword to slash our enemies down. While the teenager used her shotgun to carve bloody holes in their chests.
