Chapter 11: Not A Date Part 3

[Wonho's POV]

My feet dragged us to a fancy café inside the mall. I guess the sweet smell of bread and beverages invited me here.

"We're not eating again, okay?" the person behind told me.

"It's okay if you don't want to eat. I'm hungry."

We walked inside, a waiter welcomed us and took us to a table for two. I placed the paper bag containing the newly bought camera above the table. He sat at the table while I trailed myself to the counter to order food. I kept on glancing at him secretly while I order the food.

"Is he your boyfriend sir?" the cashier asked me with a bright smile painted on her face.

"I wish though." I answered, slightly smiling.

Yeah... I wish...

I looked back at the person that peeked inside the paper bag. I think he saw the price of the camera the way his face crumpled in disappointment.

"He looks cute." the cashier added.

I glared back at her, my eyebrows meeting halfway.

"I-I mean you two look cute t-together." she replied nervously.

I started pointing out the food I want to order from the menu that hanged high behind the counter. After the cashier punched in my order, I paid the corresponding amount before going back to the table. I sat in front of him. He looked disappointed.

"Hey." I called him.

He held his head up, our eyes meeting. The fixture above us shined down on his face. His eyes glimmered to the light, revealing his humble and innocent face.

*tug-tug... tug-tug... tug-tug...*

"What?"

"N-Nothing."

This is the first time my voice cracked when I talked to him. He laughed at it lightly.

*tug-tug... tug-tug... tug-tug...*

His laugh echoed inside my head. It soothed my insides, making me feel light.

"Here's your orders, sir. Enjoy!" a waiter approached us, placing the food on our table that I ordered earlier.

It isn't that much. I ordered only two mugs of hot chocolate. I saw his eyes beam at the sight of the mug.

"I thought you weren't hungry?" I asked at him, a bit of sarcasm evident in my tone.

"Being hungry is different from being thirsty." he pouted before taking the mug into his hands.

He wrapped his hands around the mug, absorbing the heat given off by the hot beverage. He took a sip of it before placing it back on the table. He looked outside the café through the glass beside us. I just stared at him. His body jolted for a moment with the sudden blow of cold air from the air conditioner behind me.

"Are you cold?" I asked him.

"No." he answered, shaking his head, still focused at the scenery outside the café.

Even though he told me he wasn't cold, I took off the jacket I'm wearing. I removed it successfully without him noticing it. I stood up quietly and went behind him. I put the jacket over his shoulders, covering his exposed arms before going back to my seat. He just looked at me. I could see a hint of redness on his face.

"I-I don't need this." he said.

He almost took off the jacket I placed over his shoulder but I acted fast. I leaned in closer to him, pulling the jacket back. I didn't notice that my face were only inches apart from his. I could feel the heat of his breath.
