Chapter 6: History
[Changkyun's POV]
I slopped myself on my bed, hoping that the stress be sucked away by the cushion underneath me. The day isn't that much as I can say. It was just a typical day for a quiet student inside the class. What stressed me is the project Mr. Yoo gave us today.

"A photography contest will be held in our school two months from now."
The whole class reacted in awe which made Mr. Yoo cut between his words.
"Continuing, the best photo chosen by the president will be given a chance to travel to any country they wanted for three days and two nights, inclusive of transportation, hotel accommodation, food expenses and pocket money."
The whole class roared in disbelief. One student from the left side of the room raised his hand.
"Yes?" Mr. Yoo entertained the student.
"Why are we having this contest, sir?" the student asked.
"Thank you for asking, you may sit down now." Mr. Yoo commanded the student, in which the student do so.
"As you can see, the school's 20th foundation anniversary is coming down upon us. Some of you might have known or heard this before that the president and founder of this school was once a photographer." Mr. Yoo continued.
Everyone had their ears on Mr. Yoo, including my seatmate and I, who seemed pretty interested with the story.
"This school was built because of the president's burning passion for photography. Before, he would go travel to other places to take photos of the stunning beauties of each countries he visited. Using his talent in photography, he earned thousands of money."
My seatmate nodded as Mr. Yoo told the story.
"He was thinking of establishing a school dedicated only for photography. He wants to share his knowledge and passion for people like him who loves taking photos. And so, this school was established."
Another student, this time in front, raised her hand.
"Yes?" Mr. Yoo acknowledged the girl.
"If this was a photography-dedicated school, why did it end up as an academic school?" the girl asked without standing from her chair.
"You guys are keen observant. I wish you do that in every subjects you have." Mr. Yoo joked and whole class just laughed with him.
"Anyway, this school was really a photography school not after 4 years. The president had been thinking a lot that time. 'Why can't we teach photography and at the same time, let the students be academically educated?'" Mr. Yoo continued.
My seatmate leaned further in front so he can hear everything that Mr. Yoo tells.
"The president arranged the papers for two years before it was approved. After a half year, the photography school changed into an academic school, which you are attending now. That is the story behind this school. Have you noticed the faded photos hanged in his office? Those are personally taken by him. The school also have a course dedicated for photography."
I flinched when my seatmate raised his hand.
"Yes?" the teacher in front called him.
"Why do you know so much about the school?"
Everyone had question marks painted on their faces with the sudden attack of Hoseok to the teacher.
"Another good point. Thank you Mr. Hoseok for asking." Mr. Yoo said.
"As you can see, I was a student here when the school was established. I witnessed all the changes that happened here in the school. I continued studying here after it was changed to an academic school which really favored me because I can study photography and at the same time, finish my studies. I graduated here and started teaching here after I got my license."
Everyone applauded Mr. Yoo for the wonderful story he shared to the class.
"Sometimes, it feels so great to know what someone or something had gone through. You can have connections with them internally if you knew everything that happened to them that caused them to change into this kind of state or behavior. Understanding the past of someone or something is also a way of accepting them for whatever had happened to them before they changed. It feels great to be a part of someone or something if you knew them and accepted them whole-heartedly." Mr. Yoo added.
Everyone, again, applauded after his speech.
"And now, for the groupings, I want everyone to find a partner to work with this project. Any theme you want for you work would be appreciated by the president as long as it doesn't promote profanity, pornography or anything that will degrade or defame the name of the school. All your efforts will be whole-heartedly appreciated by the president and I. So please do your best."
Everyone started finding their partners. I didn't leave my place because I don't know mostly of them so finding a partner isn't really a choice for me.
"Mr. Im? Do you have a partner already?" Mr. Yoo asked me.
He looked concerned with me not finding a partner for the project. I looked around the room. It seems like everyone already found a partner to work with, except me.
"I-I don't ha— "
I replied to Mr. Yoo but I stopped midway when my seatmate raised his hand.
"Me." he said.
I looked at him, surprised.
"Okay then. Changkyun and Hoseok are partners. Good luck to the both of you." Mr. Yoo said.
Mr. Yoo roamed around the class. After reassuring that everyone had a partner, he walked in front and commanded the class to quiet down.
"I'm looking forward with your photos. Any style of photography is allowed. I wish you all good luck. Do your best, class is dismissed."
Mr. Yoo finally ended the class. Everyone stood up with their bags on their hands and shoulders, getting ready to leave the room. I was speechless, referring to what had happened today.

I shuffled my hair due to the stress.
I don't even know him. God. How can I even work with him?!
The thought of working with him stressed me more. Even though he's cute, that is not a green card for me. I got tired of thinking of how am I going to survive the project, I didn't realize the lids of my eyes drooping down and I fell asleep.
