Chapter 23: 'M' is for Minhyuk

I'll wait for you at the stop today. :)]

I woke up when my phone vibrated because of Wonho's message. I noticed that it was really early for him to be sending message like this. I rubbed my eyes and yawned. I looked up at the wall clock at end my bed, it says 5:37 in the morning. I got out of the bed and stretched. I fixed the bed and exited my room after. I found out that my mother wasn't awake yet so I decided to cook something for our breakfast instead so she doesn't have to stress herself from preparing and cooking. I straddled my way quietly to the kitchen and searched for the ingredients I'll be using inside the fridge. I took them out and prepared the food.

After a good half hour of cooking, I heard a door closed behind me. She was surprised to see me cooking our breakfast.

"You scared me, mom."

I told her once she entered the kitchen. She laughed softly and took the saddle from my hand.

"Go to your room and prepare. I'll take care of this."

She smiled at me before I left the kitchen and went back to my room. Once I got there, I removed my clothes and took a bath. I wore clothes for school and got my bag after. When I went out of my room, the breakfast is already set at the table. As usual, she prepared too much for the two of us. We both sat there at the table and started to eat our breakfast.

"Mom. Wonho's moving in today."

I saw a smile creeped on her face.

"Why are you smiling?"

"I'm just happy. I can finally see another face aside from yours."

She laughed at me, waving her spoon.

"That's rude mom."

I pouted at her, scooping another round of rice for breakfast.

"I'm just joking, Changkyun. I love you."

She laughed again, in which I chimed in after. We shared stories again until we finished our breakfast. I stood up and placed the dishes I used in the sink and kissed my mother goodbye. I left the house and paced myself to the bus stop at the end of our street. My phone rang inside my pocket. I answered it quickly and placed it on my ear without looking at the screen.

"Wonho?"

"Where are you?"

"I'm at the bus stop, waiting for the next bus to arrive."

"Okay. Take care."

"You too."

After I ended the call, a bus stopped in front of the waiting area at same time. I hopped in and sat at the middle part of the bus like I used to do as always. I took out my earphones and listened to the music to keep myself busy.

"Changkyun!"

Wonho called once I got off of the bus. He stood up quickly and ran towards me.

"What took you so long?"

"Traffic, I guess?"

He placed his arm on my shoulders and tugged me closer to him. I glanced at him and he's wearing a smile again. I guessed that he's in a good mood today.

"Can you help me bring my things to your house later after school?"

"I thought you were kidding last night about packing your things."
