Chapter 21: Haven Part 2
[Wonho's POV]
"Changkyun!"
I quickly grabbed Changkyun and held him up. I carried him and laid him back to bed.
"Changkyun! Are you okay? What happened?"
I shook his shoulders gently for him to wake up.
"I-I'm fine."
I felt relieved when he spoke. He opened his eyes which looked drowsy and then smiled.
Is he drunk?
"Oh? It's Wonho."
"Are you okay? Does it hurt somewhere?"
He just nodded, his face looked sad.
"Where? Where does it hurt?"
He caressed his chest after.
"You can't breathe? Chest pain?"
He shook his head as answer.
"What is it? Tell me."
"My heart..."
His heart?
"What about it?"
His hand made its way to the back of my head. He slowly pulled me in and his face was only inches away from mine.
"I can't teach it to love you back."
What's this?
"I know I like you..."
I could feel my chest tighten at his words.
"...but a part of me tells me to run away again."
Run away? Where?
"I don't want to run anymore."
His voice broke up and he started to cry.
"I want to stay with you..."
He slowly closed the distance between our lips.
"...because I feel safer with you."
He pulled me in closer, our lips finally touching.
Changkyun...
We stayed there for long, our lips still touching.
I told you already...
I could feel his hand slowly losing its grip.
That I'm willing to wait, even though it'll take a lot of time...
His head fell back to the pillow. I guessed he fell asleep again with his cheeks stained with tears.
I already told you Changkyun...
I wiped the tears on his cheeks, slowly feeling his soft skin on my fingertips.
That I don't want you to just like me...
I examined his face, admiring every part of it.
I want you to love me...
Even in his sleep, he still wore that grunted look in his eyebrows.
Like the way that I love you...
I laid myself beside him. I enclosed him in my arms, pulling him in. I kissed his forehead to where his eyebrows would almost meet. After I kissed it, I felt him sighed under me. The grunted look on his eyebrows slowly faded.
