Let me help you(Merthur)

Merlin walked down the corridor and stopped outside the Kings chambers.

"Arthur?" Merkin knocked on the door for the first time in history.

The King has been upset and not himself for a couple of days and Merlin is starting to worry. Arthur won't let anyone inside his chambers, not for food, not for water, not for anyone.

"Just leave me alone" Merlin heard Arthur. It sounded close he be leaning against he door.

"Arthur just please let me in" Merlin begged bending down sitting in the floor leaning against the door.

"Merlin please just...." Arthur started then Merlin heard a sob.

"Arthur if you won't let me in then at least open the door for some food you haven't eaten" Merlin tried to compromise.

Merlin turned his head as he heard loud footsteps heading towards him. It was the two Knights that patrol the 3rd and 4th floor on the castle and hate Merlin.

"Arh Merlin see we have found you where you belong" One of the Knights said laughing.

Merlin didn't responded but stayed sitting on the floor hoping Arthur would tell them to leave.

"Stand up you worthless peasant" The other Knight spat grabbing Merlins collar and lifting him up. Merlin let out a little noise of surprise and tired to wiggle his way out of the Knights grasp.

"Stop moving" The other Knight threatened then punched Merlin in the stomach. Merlin let out a groan of pain and collapsed to the floor.

Merlin heard Arthur's door open then saw out of the corner of his eye Arthur holding his sword.

"I suggest that if you two want to live then I would leave Camelot and never return" Arthur threatened.

"My lord we..." The Knight who punched Merlin in the stomach said.

"I don't care you have until night fall to leave or I will put you in the dungeons and throw away the key" Arthur threatened.

Both the Knights ran away and headed towards their chambers. Arthur bent down and wrapped his arms around Merlin giving him a hug and placing his head in Merlins neck.

"Come on Arthur let's get off the floor and get inside" Merlin said and helped Arthur up and walked inside his chambers and placed him into his chair then walked back to the door and shut it.

"Merlin are you alright?" Arthur asked standing up and walking over to Merlin lifting up his shirt.

"I'm fine, I'm fine" Merlin said trying to pull his shirt back down but it was to late Arthur saw his bruise from the Knight.

"Oh god Merlin" Arthur said tears brimming in his eyes. Arthur brought his hand up to Merlins stomach and gently ran his hand over the bruise.

"Oh Merlin" Arthur said again.

"Arthur seriously I'm fine it's just a bruise can you please eat something" Merlin demanded pulling his shirt down and picking up the plate a servant must have brought him earlier.

"I'm not hungry" Arthur stated sitting down in his chair and stared at the wall.

"You haven't eaten in 2 days of course your hungry. Now eat this" Merlin stated shoving the plate of food in front of the Kings face.

"Merlin please?" Arthur begged pushing the plate away.

"Arthur let me help you!" Merlin shouted.

Arthur looked stunned at Merlin shocked that Merlin had just shouted at him like that.

"I'm sorry Merlin" Arthur said breaking down in tears.

"Arthur" Merlin cooed rushing over to him and wiping his tears away.

Suddenly, Merlin was lifted off the floor and placed into Arthur's lap with his legs on either side of him and his arms wrapped around his neck.

"Just let me cuddle you for a while then I promise you I will eat" Arthur promised.

So for the next hour Merlin sat in Arthur's lap and eventually fell asleep.

Arthur heard a knock on the door and then wondered what he would do with Merlin to his chest.
"Come in" Arthur said. Sir Leon walked into the room then stopped and smiled at Merlin, Arthur held onto Merlin tighter.

"Sire we need to see you the council wants a meeting" Sir Leon replied.

"Okay tell them I will be there in 10" Arthur replied then stood up placing his hand under Merlins bum and waking over and placing him on his bed.

"Sleep well Merlin" Arthur said leaning down and placing a kiss on his forehead.

Arthur turned around and found Leon still stood there.

"Leon what are you still doing here?" Arthur demanded.

"Sorry Sire I shall leave now" Leon said turning around and walking out.

"Leon?" Arthur called.

"Yes Sire?" Leon replied.

"Don't tell anyone about what you saw here with me and Merlin" Arthur demanded stretching the back of his neck.

"Don't worry Sire I will not. Doesn't matter anyway everyone already knows" Leon chuckled walking out the door.

Arthur smiled to himself and then grabbed his coat and walked out of his room shutting the door and headed towards the council room.
