Coming Back Part 7(Charlie Higson Books)

Achilleus's POV

It's been two days and I'm going stir crazy in here. I refused to sit in bed for so long so I've just been walking around the museum as they won't let me fight because my concussion is still bad. I've been on edge since Aiden left mostly because I'm worried that she's going to get hurt or worse but I know she can defend herself. I'm mostly hurt that she didn't tell me that she was leaving so when she comes back I don't know whether to be upset with her or happy that she's returned.

"Achilleus!" I heard from behind me and it sounded a lot like Maxie. I felt someone sit down next to me and I looked out of the corner of my eye to see Maxie.

"Yes Maxie, what can I do for you?" I stated watching paddy play fighting with the rest of the kids on the tarmac out front of the museum.

"Nothing for once. I was just wondering how you're doing cause I'm doing shit" Maxie sighed rubbing her face. I hesitated before I replied as I wasn't sure whether to answer her or not.

"I'm not doing so good either Max" I told her quietly not wanting anyone else to hear us.

"You miss her don't you?" Maxie asked me.

"Yeah" I sighed running a hand through my hair wishing I didn't miss her I didn't want any weaknesses but she was quickly becoming one.

"Im also pissed off that she didn't tell me she was going" I said still annoyed that she left without telling me.

"I know you're pissed but she wanted to tell you but she knew you wouldn't let her go without you so she did what she did. She came and sat with you until she had to go" Maxie told me and I nodded turning my head away as I wanted to smile but not let Maxie know that I was smiling.

"How's your head?" She asked me and I shrugged in response.

"Come on let's head over to the meeting with Justin" Maxie said patting my shoulder and I nodded sighing getting up and following behind her.

We finally made it to the meeting hall and we sat near the back waiting for Justin to begin when a few kids ran in and began shouting.

"What!?" Justin yelled trying to get them to shut up.

"Justin there back Blue and his team they're back!!" He shouted and all of us stood up eager to find out more.

"They're back?" Maxie shouts wanting to know more clearly wanting to see Blue as I wanted to see Aiden.

"Yeah" They shouted and ran back out. I jumped over the seats with Maxie and we ran towards the main doors to see who made it back.

"Blue?" Maxie shouted once we made it outside. Blue was stood next to Aiden who was talking to the rest of the group. Maxie ran down the stairs towards Blue and engulfed him in a hug as I stood at the top of the stairs suddenly feeling awkward to approach Aiden. Before I could do anything Aiden noticed me and stopped what she was doing before walking over to me. She made her way towards me and up the steps stopping one below me and smiling at me before looking way.

"Hey how's your head?" She asked quietly looking up at me.

"Good yeah I'm good" I nodded replying wondering what I should do.

"Look Akkie I'm sorry" She apologised and before I even registered what I was doing I hugged her tightly stepping down onto her step and wrapping my arms around her. She wrapped her arms around me tightly and held onto my shirt putting her head into my neck.

"It's okay Aiden it's okay" I whispered into her neck holding onto her tighter. We stood on the steps hugging each other tightly before Maxie and Blue came up the steps and interrupted.

"Hey guys lets get some food and relax you guys have had a rough few days" Maxie said and we all agreed.
