"How did they take the news?" Astrid asked Hunter as she walked into the kitchen where Hunter was currently sat counting stacks of money.

"They don't care, all they were concerned about is the business and if I was happy" Hunter responded turning around on the swivel chair to look at me. He smiled and grabbed my hand to pull me towards him so he could place his hands on my waist.

"How did your friends take it?" Hunter asked rubbing my back soothingly as he knew mine definitely didn't go as well as his.

Flashback

"Guys I need to tell you something so can you please shut up and listen?" Astrid announced catching all of her friends attention immediately.

"What is it? Are you pregnant?"

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

"OMG are you pregnant? Can I be the godmother?"

"GUYS!" Astrid shouted to shut them all up and them apologized for getting ahead of themselves.

"I do have a boyfriend" Astrid smiled as she spoke suddenly becoming nervous as she watched all of their shocked faces.

"Holy shit who is it?" Joe asked smiling brightly at her.

Astrid took a deep breath as she prepared herself for what was about to come.

"Hunter Cohen" Astrid said and was unsurprised by the silence that followed the announcement.

"Hunter Cohen as in Cohen the drug dealer?" Katie asked shocked as she sat down looking at her intently.

"Yeah the drug dealer" Astrid nodded as she looked at her other friends faces to see some surprised, some shocked and others disgusted.

"He's a bad person Astrid he's legit a criminal and he doesn't care about you babe. How long has this been going on?" Ingrid asked her expecting her to say a few days or a couple of weeks.

"3 months, we've been dating for three months" Astrid nodded smiling thinking back to her 3 month surprise dinner Hunter cooked for her and the necklace he gifted her with. Astrids hand automatically went to her neck where she took ahold of the necklace he bought her that had a letter H on.

"Did he buy you that?" Joe asked the only one out of the friend group who seemed genuinely happy.

"Yeah for our 3 months" Astrid smiled as she watched Joe looked at the necklace in awe.

"Im sorry I kept this from you all for so long but we didn't want to tell anyone about us until we felt comfortable. We didn't want anyone to get in the way whilst we got to know each other and I'm glad we didn't cause it made it so much more special" Astrid told her friends who were still in shock.

"I'm happy for you" Katie said giving me a hug. Next followed Joe then Charlotte then Anna then last but certainly expected Ingrid.

"I'm happy that you're happy but I want you to know that I don't like him and I will be watching him to make sure he doesn't hurt you" Ingrid told Astrid and she knew that she was 100% serious.

"Fair enough"

Flashback end

"As expected I guess. I don't think they believed me at first obviously thinking that you're playing me and just want me for sex I mean Ingrid literally said that to me. They were so surprised when I told them that we had been dating for 3 months" Astrid told Hunter who sat there and listened to everything she had to say about the occurrence as he knew they would give her a hard time. Her friends were part of the reason that he didn't want anyone to know when they first started dating, he didn't want them to change her mind about him before Astrid even had the chance to get to know him.
