I shakily apply my pink lip gloss. I am so nervous and I can't shake it. What if Macarevhic wants to take our friendship to the next level? I'm not sure if I'm ready, I'm still trying to heal my past scars. My talks with Ruth certainly help, I'm even thinking of going to a support group. I have too much baggage for Macarevhic to handle.
I don't want to be the girl that turns Macarevhic from good too bad. I pull my black hair into a side pony tail, and I check out my outfit in the mirrors. I smooth out my pale pink shirt, and look at my blue jeans.
Knowing Macarevhic he probably would want me to dress casual. I look into the mirror and I stare at myself. I still see a scared battered girl that is trying to pick up the pieces of her life and move on, and it's hard.
I still harbor a lot of anger at Arod. Sometimes I have good days and I have bad days. I even cut off my contact with Sherese, not because I don't love her it's just best for her and I do not speak to each other for a while. I still consider her my best friend. Plus, she wouldn't understand what I've been going through with Arod. The doorbell rings. "I'll get it" calls Ruth.
I got into ivory and I bedroom. Ivory is sitting on the bed flipping through a magazine. "You know you could go out tonight if you want." I say.
"Nope. I like staying at home with Ruth. She's a lot of fun." Ivory says. I check to make sure I have everything in my bag. "You know if you Macarevhic get married tonight, please take pictures." she teases.
I simile and blush. "Whatever." I mumble, still having that goofy smile on my face. I walk into the living room, and I see Ruth and Macarevhic sharing a laugh. "Hey Ebony." Macarevhic says walking towards me. "This is for you." he hands me a pretty pink rose.
"Thank you." I say. He gives me a kiss on the cheek, and is wear I'm about to fall out right now. "You ready to go." I nod my head yes. "Wait a minute Ebony. Give me a minute Macarevhic."
Ruth pulls me to the side. She looks me into my eyes. "I want you to have fun, and be extremely careful." I nod my head. I hand her the pink rose. Once we're outside I ask Macarevhic, "Where are we going?" A slow cute smile creeps on his face. "Somewhere fun."
The ride over is so awkward and quiet. I can sense the nervousness. Macarevhic turns on the radio to drown out the nervousness. We'll occasionally look at each other and give small awkward smiles.
