I hate hospitals, because that's where my grandmother passed away years ago. Abuela reminded me of her, Macarevhic is driving me home and we are both silent. I'm glad I could be there for him.
When I get home, I walk into the room and see Ivory. She's sound asleep. I take out my phone I look up Sherese's number. I bet she doesn't want to talk to me. I need somebody to talk to. I dial it. "Hello." she answers. I can hear music playing in the background. "Ebony, I know it's you." she says. "Umm hi." I manage to say. This is so awkward.
"So what's been going on?" she ask. "Nothing much. What about you." "Same here." "Ebony," she calls. "Yeah what's up." "I've really missed you." "I've' missed you too Sherese." We both laugh. "Girl, I was wondering when you was gonna call me, it's been months since we've talked.
We got to meet somewhere and catch up." she says in a big breath. "I would really like that. How about we meet up at the mall tomorrow." "Sounds like a plan." We hang up and I go to sleep smiling. Happy that I got my best-friend back.
