It's officially summertime. The heat is almost unbearable. This past month has been crazy. After that demo single I did, I was offered a contract and an opportunity to go on tour with Moet Jones.
I'm excited but I haven't signed anything yet. I have a few weeks before I need to make a decision. Can you believe it? Me, Macarevhic Cortez going on a music tour. My abuela is doing much better. She's even back to cursing at the TV when she watches her day time soaps. She just needs to eat healthier. Our bills are murdering us. We could possibly lose some of our possessions. So maybe this tour wouldn't be a bad idea.
Some people would have signed the contract right away, but not me. I want to make sure this is what I need to be doing. I love music don't get me wrong, but I'm just, I don't know, reluctant. I haven't even seen Ebony after our argument. I'm avoiding her. I just can't stand those mood swings and fights anymore. I'm going over to Ruth's apartment to talk to her and see if we can fix what's wrong between us. I knock on the door and Ruth lets me in.
"Macarevhic haven't seen you in a while. Congratulations I know you're gonna be a big star someday." "Thank you." I smile politely at her. "Well you can go back there to Ebony's room. I walk into her room and see her and Ivory packing. Where are they going? "Hey Macarevhic. Your new single is hot. You're about to blow up?" Ivory says.
I give her a quick hug. "Eb, I'm going to find another box." Ivory tells her. "Hey Angel." Ebony silently tapes up a box and she goes to work on another. "Angel I know you're mad but I've been busy. My abuela is out of the hospital, and I had that whole demo thing. Just say something." "You know Macarevhic if you want to break up just tell me." she says.
"Ebony I don't want us to break up; I want us to fix our problems." "I have no problems. You could have called me, just to say hello. But you ignored me. That hurts." "I know Ebony, and I'm sorry. I'm so stressed out and they could take our personal possessions soon if we don't pay our bills."
