I think my life just walked out of the door. I throw a glass against the wall. It shatters into a million pieces. I can't believe that she left me. I go into my room and angrily start to pack for my tour, fighting back tears the whole time. I can't let her go like this. It's morning of my tour, it's been a week since Ebony broke up with me and the pain still feels fresh. The night before Abulea and mama threw me a little sendoff party. I even went by

"My Black Freedom" to recite a poem. I drive to Ebony's house. I need to let her know before I leave that I'm still in love with her. And that I'm gonna think about her while I'm gone. I knock on the odor. Ivory answers it. "Hey Macarevhic, come on in." The house feels different. It feels a little more warmer and more lived in. Happier, yeah that's the word happier. "Ebony, come down here!"

Ivory yells up the stairs. Ivory crunches on a chip. "Good luck on your tour Macarevhic." Ivory says with a smile. I hug her. "Thank you, hermana." Ebony comes down saris looking different. Her long hair is pulled into a ponytail, she's smiling. She hugs me.

"Good luck on your tour." she says with her dimple smile. "Thanks, Ebony can I talk to you for a moment." "Yeah sure." Ebony takes my hand and takes me into the living room.

"I know you broke up with me to take care of yourself, but I want to let you know that my past is worse than yours. I'm still dealing with things from the past today. I killed two people, I used to sell drugs. My dad used to be abusive. I was angry at the world. I changed my life because I needed to. Ebony, I'm not mad over the breakup. I just want to let you know about my past and that I'm still in love with you."
