God thank you for sending me this beautiful woman, that I love so much. Ebony is my angel. Yes, she's difficult, but it's moments like this that make up for everything. I can't live without her. She is where my heart is, and I wish we could run off and get married. I smile at that thought. I bend down and kiss her.
Thankful that I get to. I think about the boxes in the room. "Where are you going Ebony?" I ask her. "Oh, my parents brought a new house and they want Ivory and I to come live with them." "Where is the house at?" "In another neighborhood, about twenty minutes away from here." She says starting to pack another box.
I breathe a relief sigh. At least she's not moving out of the state. "How do you feel about that?" I ask her, helping her pack some shirts in a cardboard box. "It's cool I guess, the therapist says it would be good for us. Ivory is surprisingly okay with it.
She's still kind of fighting them but at least she's trying to forgive them. I hope it's not a mistake. I love my apartment but what if they leave us again?" "They won't angel," I say kissing her on the forehead. "How can they afford a new house?" I ask her.
"Umm, they said they had old money put up someplace safe. I didn't ask any more questions about it." "When do you leave?" "Tomorrow morning. I really don't want to leave Ruth, but she agrees." Ebony says warily. She sits on her bed and I join her. I pull her into a hug and we sit there in silence thinking about our futures.
