Ok so I have no fans or comments, but that's ok I am just gonna keep writing and pray that changes :) This chapter will be pretty much in Alex's POV, but I am switching it back to Annie's so look out for that and yep so here goes!!!

Alex's POV

I let out the breath I had been holding, as the small group of people in her room looked at me with shocked expressions, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sorrow as I saw a silent tear fall from Annie's right eye. Her lips quivered as she tried to come up with something to say and all I could think to do was hold her.

So that's what I did, until I noticed the young man looking at me with an angry gleam in his eyes. I cleared my throat and shifted away " I think your boyfriend may want to do this," I said politely gesturing my head to where he stood silently.

She laughed a little and wiped her beautiful eyes, "That's my brother Luke, and the man and woman hugging each other and crying are my parents, and this" she gestured to a woman probably around her age " is my best friend Becca, I don't have a boyfriend" she finished sighing as she did.

I nodded my head in understanding and got off the bed as smoothly as I could, I turned my attention to her parents. " I am staying at the Lexington Hotel till I know for sure what we are dealing with." I then turned back to Annie, it still amazed me to look at her I had never seen a woman more breath taking. " I would like to do a bone marrow aspiration first thing in the morning if it's alright with you?" I asked her keeping my voice soft.

She turned her electric blue eyes towards me, "Um... sure I guess we will need to do whatever we can to find out for sure what is wrong with me."  I loved how her voice sounded it was like music to my ears even if what we were talking about was her passably having cancer.

I gave them a curt nod before saying goodnight, " I will be in around eight in the morning to start the procedure try to get some rest in the meantime k?" She nodded her perfect head and I walked out the door quietly.

I met Jo Ann at the nurses station, " I'm taking her file with me so I can finish looking through it. If Dr. Grant needs me tell him to call my cell please." I said flashing her my famous grin, she smiled and shook her head.

" Someday Alex your going to make some poor woman wish she had never met you!" She teased I just laughed and walked to the elevator waving to her. She gave me a wave back and I stepped through the open door.

Annie's POV

I sat back in the hospital bed in a daze, I really couldn't believe what the young Dr. Watkins had just told me and my family. I looked at each of their faces wondering what was going through their minds, my brother was the first to speak. "I defiantly think we should get a third opinion," he said this just as Jo Ann walked through the door.

She gave him a small frown but quickly replaced it with a smile, " Why is that honey?" She asked nonchalantly. I really liked Jo Ann she reminded me of my own mother in a way, my brother gave her a puzzled look and then replied. " Well because he's way too young to really know what he's talking about."

I saw the fire in Jo Ann's eyes I could tell Luke was by far her least favorite person right now, "He is young yes, but he's a darn good Dr. He is the most sought after in his practice!" She exclaimed I could tell she knew him on a more personal level than just dr and nurse, so I ask " how long have you known Dr. Watkins?"

She gave me a huge smile, " Well he started his internship about three years ago when I was a oncology nurse at Mercy. Since then he and a few other's have opened a office in Mercy Hospital and have a wonderful staff, he is the most recommended Dr. for Leukemia and blood disorders in all of Georgia."

She finished proudly with a smug smile pointed in my brothers direction, I couldn't help but grin when I saw the look on Luke's face. He looked angry, and hurt all the same time like a child pouting!

" I personally thought he was great, not to mention HANDSOME." Becca squealed, my brother gave her a drop dead look. I smiled " I have to agree with you and Becca he certainly seemed very concerned, and for him to drop his night to come down from Atlanta really says alot to me."

I said grinning at Jo Ann, " it doesn't hurt that he's eye candy either." I said I had everyone in the room laughing, with the exception of my brother. Jo Ann finished taking my vitals, and after asking everyone in the room if they needed anything, which they politley told her 'no' she left.

I looked over at my parents they had torn expressions, "mom, dad everything will be ok! I am putting this in the Lord's hands and asking for His guidance." My father gave me a genuine smile he had been a Pastor at Mercy Baptist for years, he came over and took my hand.

We all bowed our heads as he began the prayer, " Dear Heavenly Father we come to you tonight as a family in need Dear Lord. We ask that You shine your light for us to know the right path Dear God, we know not the plans you have for Annie but we know whatever your reasons are for bringing her to whatever this may be, you will see her through it. We praise you and give you all the glory Dear Lord for it's in Christ Jesus name we pray 'AMEN'.

We all said in unison, mom and dad both gave me a kiss and a hug making what was one of the worst days of my life somehow turn out better, giving me a bittersweet feeling. Of course I was sure the prayer had helped also, for I felt at peace with whatever this was I somehow knew God was taking care of me.

I loved having all my family here with me, even though I would have preferred it to be under way better circumstances. I looked around the room to see that everyone's face had the same at peace expression and then drifted off to sleep.

THIS IS REALLY IN HER FAMILIES POV

They looked down at their sleeping daughter, Mary spoke first " I'm staying with her tonight Luke, please take Becca and your father to the apartment." She looked at her son with tired eyes, they were all physically and emotionally drained.

It was going on two in the morning, Luke nodded his head and turned to Becca. "Is it ok if me and dad crash at yours and Annie's apartment?" She looked into the familiar electric blue eyes, like his younger sister and father Luke's eyes were gorgeous.

She nodded and silently kissed Annie's cheek before getting up to retrieve her coat, Annie's mother and father kissed goodnight before he turned to follow Luke and Becca out the door. Mary sighed and sat down in the spot that Becca had previously been, praying God gave her and Annie the strength to make it through if this was Leukemia.

Ok so I did something a little different at the end, but I just wanted to kind of let everyone see the hurt that the family is experiencing.... So who knows maybe if this story gets enough votes/comments there could be a sequel??? I could so see Becca and Luke together :P

Please vote/comment on my story thanks so much APdreamgirl :0)
